SteamWorld Heist is likely to be on quite a few wishlists ahead of its planned Fall release on the 3DS eShop, with a later arrival also due on the Wii U. It's the continuation of what's rapidly become Image & Form's key IP following the multi-platform success of SteamWorld Dig.
We previously covered Image & Form's first 'Engine Room' video in which Brjann Sigurgeirsson and Julius Guldbog spoke about SteamWorld's timeline, and now a follow-up tackles other questions around the IP. Topics include the move to DSiWare with SteamWorld: Tower Defense (along with candid views over that store's flaws), the shifts in genre between games and the prospects for more styles and sequels in the future.
It's certainly worth a watch for SteamWorld fans, and you can check it out below.

But at least the DSi Shop has some great music!

Interesting insight. But are all the jump cuts really necessary. I am a video editor and this constant jump cutting makes it hard for me to concentrate on the interesting things they are saying. great info though
These guys are fantastic. Their Tower Defense game may not be the best thing ever, but they've come a long way since then. Looking forward to Heist!
I dig Steamworld. Hehe. Looking forward to this.
Finally got enough signal to watch the video!! More interesting stuff, especially the multiplayer game in future. Imo all of the games in the 'steamworld series' are very well suited to local or online multiplayer, I would be happy to pay for a patch or upgraded version to play my friends!!
