Update:
Below are another four screens showing the work in progress build for Wii U, with release due in 2015.
Original Article:
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a critically acclaimed remaster - it's far more than a simple remake - that's gone down well on various systems. Its Wii U release has been elusive and long delayed, however, with series creator Lorne Lanning reiterating its planned release for the system last year while suggesting the limitations of supporting the 8GB Basic systems was an issue.
The good news is that it's definitely coming - new 'work in progress' screens have been released to prove just that.
We've asked publisher Oddworld Inhabitants for clarification on a release date, and at present the only official target is '2015'.
Are you still excited about playing this on Wii U? Let us know.

I had given up on the Wii U release and picked it up on PS3 a while ago. I may still get it on Wii U. Especially if it fixes some of the glitches. (I've had the sound completely cutout in certain laggy areas.)
Too bad I already caved and got it for PS4. If the sales end up unimpressive, chalk it up to the massive delay.
Day one or 365 not sure since it's taking that long. Seriously though I really want this, haven't played one of these in a long time.
I was excited about it coming to the Wii U but then it was free on PS Plus a few months back so now I have it.
I can't wait for this.
I was only thinking about this the other day good to see its still coming along
Got this for free on PS4 (ps+) a few months back, so there's no reason to buy this again.
I really wanted to get this on WiiU, as it's my console of choice. I eventually l got impatient and bought it on Xbox One. No doubt, people bellyache when it underperforms on WiiU a year after release on other platforms, and blame the system.
Cool that it's still coming, assumed that statement was a no on a release. They also promised Stranger's Wrath HD
Good to hear that it is still coming. I loved the original and I can't wait to play this new version.
I'm interested, but not enough to pay $30. I'll wait for a good sale.
Glad to hear its stiil happening I haven't got the game yet since I knida was waiting for the Wii U release keep in mind the PS Vita owners have also been waiting a long time too
wow I forgot all about this. I may pick it up. At this point other games are crowding it out.
Had my eye on this for a while so great that it's still due but money is tight for me this year so it might have to wait a wee bit!
i like it but i played it before and so many new good stuff is coming out so this can wait.
I never played one of these games so I'm looking forward to it being released.
I played this one to death in PS1, so I am actually more interested in Stranger's Wrath
Never liked these back when they first came out but would like to give it a second chance. I actually thought the Wii U version would end up being scrapped. Hopefully Strangers Wrath HD is still on too.
Defo interested been years since I played the game so would be good to play it again.
The opening sentence of this article is weird. Remasters are a lesser form of remakes and not the other way around, so saying a remaster is more than a remake doesn't make sense.
I'm happy to see it make its way to Wii U but as others have stated, I can't see it doing too well now it's so cheap on everything else. Did they have to cut stuff from the game to make it fit on a basic Wii U?
I'll probably get it.
R U KIDDING??!!! I just read XBOX One has these games available for download all N64 Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Killer Instinct Gold, Jet Force Gemini and Blast Corps. What a joke!
I hope Nintendo are listening to their fans over this. A year or so later, everyone either has it, got it on ps+ or has lost interest in it. Hopefully the NX will rectify this problem of 'a year late' game and bad sales for 3rd party on WiiU from this one remake (which I loved and played back in the day on pc and also got with ps+ a few months back for free too). It's gonna sell badly on WiiU sadly. Nintendoooomed and all that.
@mrchills what? Like individually? What's the price of each game? Link?
Can't wait for this. Looks incredible.
Did the devs say anything about GamePad functionality? I'm interested, but lack of time is definitely a factor... Seriously considering the VC release of Xenoblade Chronicles :/
Still wanting this, so I hope it's still coming. I think Xenoblade X and Star Fox are it for me this year in Nintendo-Land, so there's definitely room for third party stuff.
"It's happening"
I believe it when I see it on the e-shop!
I loved the original and cannot wait for this! I chose not to get it for PS cuz I wanted to support the wiiU version and I'm sure it's worth the wait! Hope the price is reasonable enough!

Phew, good. I really want to get this.
