Nintendo has been keen to ahead of Gamescom opening to the public with a range of announcements for Europe, covered in other articles, and has also outlined its plans for the show itself. If you are heading along to the world's biggest gaming expo this weekend in Cologne, Nintendo is keen to keep you entertained.
Based in Hall 9, the Nintendo booth will unsurprisingly have a focus on Super Mario Maker, and the first 111 fans to show up on Thursday at noon dressed as Mario, while clutching a Mario amiibo, will win a goodie bag for the game - because why not? The booth will also have regular contest for Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
There's a treat related to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, with codes being given to attendees that'll unlock two of four special 'mon picked by Game Freak's Shigeki Morimoto - these are Aromatisse, Bouffalant, Malamar and Sableye.
The full line-up of playable games is also confirmed, which includes a chance to try out some exciting indie games, while Xenoblade Chronicles X will be playable in Europe for the first time. The list is below.

I can't wait for Mario Tennis on WiiU...It looks brilliant. The last few instalments have been fantastic
Wooo, can't wait for Plague of Shadows!
What!? Little Battles eXperiene, Rive AND Extreme Exorcism!? Does this mean we're close to getting release dates!?
No Devils Third - thats out very soon.
They already have Terraria working on the 3DS? Interesting, I look forward to seeing how it is.
I want to see more of Mighty No. 9 and Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows too.
What a great line up! I am so excited for RIVE!
Oh damn, they're gonna have Terraria playable on 3DS? Hopefully someone gets footage of that, I'm really interested in getting it on 3DS (and/or Wii U) but I want to see if it plays comfortably first.
better line up than E3...
Yeah but where is Girls Mode/Style Savvy 3 NOA? It's been months of waiting already..
All I want, is to see more of Zelda U. And that's not gonna happen...
@Dgrin - Crap, you're right, I actually forgot about that game! However, I don't think it's the kind of game that would seem fit for the event, though.
Same old same old don't know why people are getting excited or better yet saying it's a great lineup!
God the Wii U eShop is going to finish off super strong. There's Fast Racing Neo, Extreme Excorcism, Runbow, Rive, and Typoman. I was never interested in Mighty No. 9, Soul Axiom has lots of polishing needed, and I haven't heard of the other two.
How is Yoshis Wooly World not here?
@Hero-of-WiiU It has been released in June in Europe and the only released games that are playable on Gamescome are competitive multiplayer games (Splatoon, Maio Kart 8, SSB).
Shovel Knight is soon to be retail as well!
Soo
Wheres that Mario Tennis Ultra Smash trailer?
Awesome I always wanted Terraria on 3DS!
