How quickly can you finish Super Mario World? 23 minutes 14 seconds? That sounds like a pretty fast time to us, but imagine doing that totally blindfolded. That's exactly what PangaeaPanga has done - and the amazing thing is that he was only practicing the run very recently - he started his training on June 16th.
He dies during the run so it can hardly be described as perfect, but even so, it's a remarkable feat. PangaeaPang has prior form in the world of Super Mario World, as he was bested the infamous Item Abuse 3 stage, considered to be the most difficult fan-made Super Mario World level ever.
Playing games while blindfolded? It will never take off. Take a look at the full video below, but be warned that it contains bad language.

... and he was forever know as Neo, The One!
Haha. Best sub-title I've seen in a while.
If you have a good memory or use musical cues its not impossible. I used to be able to play through the first levels of shinobi III on sound alone. (I can only do the first three now...sigh)
Off. The. Chain.
Just so we're clear, his Item Abuse 3 video is a tool-assisted speed run.
I don't think that Item Abuse 3 would otherwise be humanly possible to beat.
He also made the level himself.
Ok that was good. Now let's see him do Super Mario 64 blindfolded 😵
Wow, that's some great skills.
@RupeeClock aww, does that mean it'll never see the light of day in Super Mario Maker?
I still haven't gotten thru the 1st castle, or whatever it was that had the save point on the other side.
So is this how 2D Mario games are supposed to be played, sprinting and jumping full speed ahead? If so that would explain why I've never been any good at that, I like walking and looking and thinking about what to do next.
@RedDevilAde Any level that has been beaten by it's creator can see light of day in Super Mario Maker. The trick is to find The One that can design and play through it!
This man has skills
Geez, I can't even finish the first world in 23 minutes!
And Scykoh couldn't even make it through 1-1 of SMB blindfolded...
However, I'm not that impressed, seeing how most of SMW is running on fixed patterns, so muscle memory can get you through most stuff - that's not to say it's easy, though.
@Kaze_Memaryu ...He did once. lol
Some crazy stuff.
Same pattern over and over. There's not much RNG in Mario World so I could see this happening with enough practice.
Wow pretty good!
@rjejr That's correct. The hardest part for any first-time player is learning to run and jump at the same time.
@Megumi Well... yeah, but he admitted that doing it with the pipe was too easy to count, and failed hard trying to legit the stage.
