LEGO Dimensions is likely to be one of the year's biggest releases, bringing the hugely profitable toy franchise into the toys-to-life market. Thankfully the Wii U will have a version, too, so Nintendo fans won't miss out on the new franchise and crippling debts it'll entail.
We've already seen a little of LEGO Dimensions in the live YouTube show on Monday, with the focus being on the Portal 2 content that'll be included in the game. We now have an official E3 trailer, however, which gives a broader sense of what it'll have to offer.
Check it out below and let us know what you think.

"#BreakTheRules" indeed: who'd ever thought we'd eventually see Chell and GLaDOS on a Nintendo console?
I want Doctor Who, Scooby Doo, Portal, Wizard of Oz, Simpsons and Batman.
Also, I love what they are doing with that portal! switching characters and changing LED colors etc. ...I already buy too much LEGO but I cant resist to buy this as well. This has priority over Star Wars Infinity for me.
@DarthNocturnal they are both the same old voice actors, TT confirmed it during the youtube press.
Noooooooo. Lego, keep the Dimensions stuff away from me. I'm already addicted to Amiibo. My wallet won't be able to support another addiction.
It's great to see Chele and Glados in lego form. The Batman, Simpsons and Doctor Who ones are also looking awesome.
Watching this on the Live youtube feed was the highlight of yesterday, until The Last Guardian, and then the FFVII remake (which should be out in 3978).
And in case you can't tell from the vid, the Lego stand has 3 different sections, each a different color, which correspond to different colored portals in the game, and what color you put them on on the portal is what portal they come out of in the game. (Man, I am explaining that so poorly but it was so cool to watch.)
Also, this takes place about halfway thru the game, which starts in the Wizard of Oz - not sure if in Oz or Kansas, so there is a lengthy story campaign to be played. Also, only Chell can use the portal gun.
Oh, and in an obvious burn to Disney Infinity, all toys can be used in all worlds - Oz, Scooby Doo, Portal, all of them. And they reiterated each "toy" - don't think they meant characters - can be built 3 different ways and show up that way in game.
It's a good thing for Disney Infinity they have Star Wars. Though watching the Sony show last night the DI graphics looked so horrible back-to-back w/ SW Battlefront. Battlefront was pushing the limits of realism.
I know this is $100, but I'm really hopeing for a $50 Black Friday sale and leaving it under the tree. My kids finally figured out last year that the Christmas cake is a lie.
"We would like to buy a cake!" Oh, Gandalf...I'm so sorry...
Okay now I am seriously tempted by this
@NintendoFan64 the cake is a lie
Watching this made me extremely happy to the point i was laughing and crying at the same time - that's how good the trailer was
Portal 2 looks amazing in Lego Dimensions - this bumped it up high importance when it comes out, because i KNOW im going to get Dimensions
I love the Lego games. The humour very much appeals. Also really want the Scooby sets. So pricey though! May have to wait for a year or two and things get down to a reasonable amount of money.
Ok, here's a crazy idea. You know how Nintendo teamed up with Skylanders to make Skylander amiibo? What if Nintendo did the same thing with Lego Dimensions? Now we can finally get Lego versions of Link!
