In an eye-raising development from the Level-5 Vision 2015 event in Japan, the company has confirmed yet another spin-off release for the Yo-kai Watch series, in addition to the 3DS-bound Yo-kai Watch Busters. Yo-kai Watch: Three Kingdoms has been announced as a collaboration with Koei Tecmo.
Three Kingdoms is a series popular in Japan that's better known as being the source of the Dynasty Warriors franchise; the latter actually began as a spin-off. Though Warriors-style games have been common for cross-over material, it's likely this Yo-kai Watch effort will be a strategic affair in line with the core Three Kingdoms series. No platform details were given; though relatively rarely seen outside of Japan, this franchise has had recent arrivals on 3DS, Vita and Wii U in Level-5's homeland.
With the main franchise not due in the West until 2016, we're not convinced we'll see this outside of Japan any time soon, especially as no release window is yet given for its home territory. Whether it'll continue the franchise's consistent run on Nintendo hardware is also tough to predict, especially with Fantasy Life 2 heading to smart devices.
There's no getting off the Yo-kai Watch train in Japan, though the rest of the world is still waiting to get on board.

Milking it for all its worth it seems, not Contempt with going the Pokemon route, now all this happens.
Yeah level 5, be careful not going out too hard with this franchise. YOu already milking it
We should have seen this coming when Level 5 started making multiple versions of each Yokai Watch game. Such a sad state to see this company in.
that actually looks kind of cool. Then again I like weird crossovers...
Well this is very random...
I'd give it a go - I'm a Three Kingdoms nerd.... I just wish KT would make a new great RTK game and release it on Wii U in the west.
