Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is just days away, yet it seems a retailer in Germany couldn't even wait for the right month before grabbing some sales on the title. It is sure to be one of the year's biggest releases on 3DS, yet any street date-breaking sales will inevitably frustrate Nintendo.

The apparent early sale was posted on Twitter below, with the lucky gamer picking up two copies for the princely sum of €79.98.

We've seen this before, of course, with a high profile example last year being stores unable to hold their nerve with Pokémon X & Y. At the time of writing this does also seem to be a relatively isolated incident, so don't go rushing to your local store expecting anything but disappointment.

Are you envious, or are you looking forward to sharing the launch hype with the majority on 3rd October?
