Norwegian developer Sarepta Studio has been approved to develop games for Nintendo systems, and its first order of business is to bring co-op puzzle adventure Shadow Puppeteer to the Wii U eShop. The game was initially announced as a PC release, but the developers at the studio are ecstatic to be bringing their creation to Nintendo gamers the world over.
Beyond the darkly whimsical aesthetics of Shadow Puppeteer lies a tricky puzzler: the game stars a boy and his shadow who must manipulate light and darkness to bring down the titular shadow-snatching baddie. Sarepta got a chance to show the game off at GDC earlier this year, where they got feedback from press and fellow developers on their progress.
It's currently unclear when Shadow Puppeteer will be making its début on Wii U eShop, but rest assured we'll have the details as they arrive! In the meantime, the game's official site is a great place to follow the latest trailers and a nifty developers' blog.
Are you happy to see another indie title on its way to Nintendo eShop? Will you be checking out Shadow Puppeteer when it releases?

Hmm... interesting.... I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one for sure. Nice to see another developer putting stuff on Wii U.
Sounds awesome, when is it supposed to be released?
This actually looks pretty good. We need more great indie games and less shovelware/mobile ports. This is definitely in the former category.
Looks really interesting, would love to get it for wiiu.
Reminds of that "lost in Shadow" game that came out late in the Wii life-cycle.
Looks promising. Looking forward to see more about how they're going to design the game towards the Wii U.
Well crap. I think I need to start making games. I had this exact same concept for a game years ago.
@Action51 Totally a shadows tale. That game so so ignored. Played it for weeks. I think it should be ported to the eshop for a second shot l
