We recently reported on the Kickstarter campaign for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis: Collected Works, and are happy to report that the project has already passed its initial funding goal of £30,000.
However, Read-Only Memory founder Darren Wall has gotten in touch with us to reveal that the book's scope has expanded dramatically since the campaign began. A host of US-based developers are now on board, which will give the finished tome a distinctly global feel.
These include Greg Johnson (Co-Creator of ToeJam & Earl), Peter Morawiec (Creator of Comix Zone), Rich Karpp (Developer of Vectorman and Vectorman 2), Michael Latham (Producer of Eternal Champions) and Ed Annunziata (Creator of Ecco the Dolphin). The interviews will be accompanied by production sketches and artwork.
The campaign has another 17 days remaining and has raised over £68,000 at the time of writing. The more cash that is pledged means Read-Only Memory can make the book even better — as has been evidenced by this news. If you're keen to see this become a reality, make sure you give it your support.

What! no love for Chakan in this tome... That is ludicrous I tells ya
I shall work on my own tribute to the 25 years of the Megadrive. I will probably do something like last years "SNES XX".
There is an indie ebook bundle all about games at the moment. There is a book in that about the Dreamcast that is absolutely brilliant and this sort of thing is not really something I am usually bothered about. The minimum to get it is only 3$. Not read any of the others but that pn its own is worth it.
The tricks they used to the management to stop Shenmue being rushed are particularly interesting. (If the Zelda producer really wants to make a perfect game he should take note of them.)
