Wii U Version of Aliens: Colonial Marines Has Not Been Postponed

After the tremendous disappointment of the other versions, I sure hope this is at least closer to that old E3 demo. Gearbox massacred this game everywhere else.

You never know, if Demiurge do a better job than Gearbox, then I'm open to buying it.

i have this game on the ps3, and the game is pure trash =/

I am curious as to how different it will be, I just want a motion tracker on the gamepad really.

Actually, if the rumours are true, Gearbox didn't even have much to do with the other version either.
Its just good news if the original studios don't have anything to do with the Wii U version.
Now there might actually be hope for this game. Maybe they really will pull the Ninja gaidens on this one.
Not sure if I'm going to preorder or anything, but I'm a little more hopeful for the Wii version.
I might give it a try when the price drops.

They would be better off delaying the game and try to fix it's problems...that is if it's possible.

Hopefully they take the feedback the other versions are getting and are able to make some major tweaks. Cause I'm still holding out hope for our version.

I'll wait and see what the reviews of the Wii U version are like before deciding as I was initially very excited about this game. I live in hope.

I'm shocked that there are people posting here that they want to pre-order or buy this game, even though the other versions (which this will likely be no better than) got scored around 4/10 by all mainstream websites.

The game was not entirely gearbox's fault. It has been stated they only worked on the multi-player and primary development was by Time Gate Studioes

Playing it on PC, it's not like the talk about it.
It's just more like Duke Nukem 3D and GoldenEye 007.
Finite shields and health and secondary objectives that requires exploring.
Oh, and they don't tell you were to go. You have to actually figure out, what a surprise!

It's a great FPS, because it's a true FPS.

Didn't the dev say this was the better looking version of the game months ago. If done right it could be the definitive version of the game kinda like Ninja Gaidan.

Woah, this could be the unlikely hit which is needed at this point, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I'm a big Aliens fan, so I'll probably pick this up when it's cheap. I'm holding out that the Wii U version will be tweaked enough to make it a (more or less) enjoyable experience.

if theres even a bit of delay they should at least release a demo to make some interest for wii u owners

We don't want this POS, just toss it in a dumpster where it belongs.

This game is rotten. No amount of tweaking or patches could salvage this reeking, festering filth! Only way would be to redesign it from the ground up... But they won't. Well get the same 3rd rate version later than other consoles, with an inflated price tag. Cheers lads!

@AbeVigoda Only mindless drones take videogame website reviews as law. There have been plenty of games in the past that I've enjoyed and all the reviews were junk. Fist of the North star (I didn't buy it, not my kind of game) got a bad review from NL and there are people out there who love it. It really just comes down to what kind of games you like and if its flaws really matter to you.

The xbox and ps3 versions were ported from a rushed pc version that was thrown together in 6 months by gearbox because timegates efforts were unusable. To most everyone's understanding, the wiiu version is the only version thats been singularly developed by one studio. Whether thats good or bad remains to be seen, but i have a hardtime believing the wiiu version could suffer from mishaps its production hasnt been forced to encounter...

But that too, is me believing what gearbox says and thats not the sure bet it was last month anymore. Of course, we'll see. But i'm staying hopeful.

A lot of people actually like Gearboxs Multiplayer, it the Singleplayer thats hated and Gearbox were only tasked with fixing it as much as the can after the other developer screwed it up.
Wii Version has 1 Developer and been built from scratch, not ported, so all being well it should be better than the other versions
Time will tell but because of the differences in how the WiiU version and the other version have been made you can't write off the WiiU version based on the others.
