Not a bad shot from Mario

The most recent Media Create results for the Japanese charts are in, and Nintendo can be quite pleased with the outcome. The software results are slightly less impressive than normal due to a glut of new releases on other platforms, though Mario Tennis Open made a solid debut at number two, coming in behind Capcom's Dragon's Dogma on PS3.

The dominance of 3DS in the hardware chart continued, with the handheld once again outselling the other consoles combined. The release of Mario Tennis Open also prompted a modest increase from last week's sales, which are in parenthesis.

2. PS3: 14,771 (12,026)
3. PSP: 10,617 (10,652)
