The critically-acclaimed BIT.TRIP series reaches its sixth instalment today with CommanderVideo's final appearance: BIT.TRIP FLUX. Let's see what else is available this week.
WiiWare
BIT.TRIP FLUX (Aksys Games, 800pts) – The conclusion to the BIT.TRIP saga, this takes its cues from series-starter BIT.TRIP BEAT with some brand new tricks up its sleeve: new power-ups, new Beat types and more. We'll soon see if this is a fitting end to what's been one of WiiWare's finest series.
Arcade Essentials (Nordcurrent, 500pts) – The clue's in the name: this includes five old-school arcade titles. We'll aim for a similarly self-explanatory review next week.
WiiWare Demos
Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1 (Lexis Numérique) – A free sample of the first episode of the cutesy educational game – y'know, for kids – this is a good place to start if you're looking for a cheap way to entertain the youngsters. Our Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1 review will help you out, too.
Hoopworld: BasketBrawl (Virtual Toys) – It's like basketball with fighting in it, which turned out better than you might imagine. Our Hoopworld review is available too.
DSiWare
Bejeweled Twist (PopCap Games, 500pts) – After a long wait – the game was released in North America in December 2009 – PopCap's popular gem-smasher makes its way to European DSiWare. Of course by now there are plenty of other puzzle games on the service, but if you love a bit of jewel-twisting action, our Bejeweled Twist review is all you need to read.
Panda Craze (TiK Games, 500pts) – A poor puzzle platformer that's really not worth your points, our Panda Craze review scored this a generous 2/10. Avoid.
Peg Solitaire (CIRCLE Entertainment, 500pts) – Not the card-based solitaire that's so popular on the DSi, this is instead the classic peg-jumping game that's been taxing minds for goodness knows how long. We solved the mystery of the Peg Solitaire review score: 6/10.

Excuse me, I just FLUXed myself.
Bet you've been waiting to use that since the release date was announced.
Actually no, thought of it on the spot.
And about the games, I really want to know how Flux turned out since it looks disappointing to me.
You're in luck, the FLUX review is already done and should go live in about 2 hours.
Hoopworld demo!
800 points for Flux? Why so much...?
I have enough points for flux. Soon my bit trip collection will be complete!
Wait, FLUX is already out?! I can't find it on the shop...
@9 I think NL already knew what was going to be released on Friday and post it today.
Never played the BIT.TRIP series, except for the demos... awaits the hate to be thrown at him
I wonder how they are able to play it already and write a review about it, though... I didn't know reviewers got downloadable games before us
@11.DarkRoy it's because reviewing is their job
@DarkRoy
It will be released on the Wii Shop Channel at 12pm GMT+1. I'll be on the shop at 11pm tonight with my credit card handy.
Ahhh, I was hoping for a Flux demo. So far I have always found the Bit. Trip serie overrated. Fate's demo prevented me from getting it so I hope we get a demo pretty soon.
@DarkRoy Corbie has a debug Wii. Also, if you didn't notice, Review Code is an option on the contact page.
Bit. trip flux is obviously the best download of the week but why is it 800 points? I can understand runner and fate costing that much but flux looks similar to beat which was 600 points.
Thank you for the replies. I didn't know about that; I thought they only got retail games in advance. Thanks for the information anyway
GOOD update!
I've downloaded 3 games I didn't intend to BECAUSE of the demos, so its kind of been a success in that sense. Hoopworld could be another one I download the full version of.
I love the demos. I'll download ANY I don't have.
Bejeweled Twist is an insta-download. The retail karts look like that they'll be on sale soon in the EU finally, but no point in getting them. Tempted by Peg Solitaire too despite ease and lack of content.
May downlaid Arcade essentials based on the NL review. Wasn't that an OK PSP download?
Didn't noticed it before, but "Arcade Essentials" looks really cool and interesting:

I think I will buy this instead of Flux =).
Bejeweled Twist sucks. Give us Bejeweled 2 please, Popcap.
Dawwww, no VC release.
Hmm, Arcade Essentials looks like it could be pretty good.
Hopefully, the Hoopworld Demo will generate enough sales to convince them to finally release the DLC they've always said was a possibility.
Arcade essentials actually looks pretty good but I'm wary because of it being from nordcurrent and it looks like it would've been better suited to dsiware. I'll wait and see what the review is like.
