We know that Shigeru Miyamoto likes to do things his own way, and it's safe to say that's got him quite far in this business. Judging from how he approached his first interview at Nintendo, you may be surprised he even got a foot in the door.
The traditional props for a job interview tend to be a portfolio of work and a glistening resume, but Mr Miyamoto being Mr Miyamoto instead took along coat hangers he had designed specifically for young children. With crosses made to fit within a small notch in the wall and painted with elephants, the custom hangers clearly impressed Nintendo as the rest is history.
Imagine: had Mr Miyamoto played it safe and brought a showreel, the world of Nintendo could have be a very different place.

I have absolutely no idea about Nintendo's past, but I do know that they were at one point a toys or cards company (something like that). Did Miyamoto interview during this time? if so, that would make much more sense. Please correct me if i'm wrong, though.
Wow.... this is strangely odd, but interesting.
i want me a nintendo brand hanger!
Sensei is more brilliant than I ever imagined!
Probably was something like this.
@GmRmXx: nah dude, the main playing card-production period was around 1780's till 1889, when i'm not totally of. that was even before they called themself Nintendo. i don't think Miyamoto was looking for a job back then
but they still "produce these cards nowadays. nice, isn't it?
Neeeeentendoo SIX-TY-FOUUUUUUUUUUURR!! OMGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ummmm... Okay
or maybe..... this could be a new application for the wii where it comes with wii i (a camera for the wii) (or maybe connect the dsi to the wii for the camera) in this app, you can see what this shirt looks on you. Or maybe.... take a picture of your shirt and it can go on your mii. & this is when the coat hanger comes on. You get a free coat hanger from gamestop. POWER TO THE PLAYERS
Nintendo made a love tester machine, and a taxi company.
