This weekend the Kyoto Cross Media Experience 2009 took place in - you guessed it - Kyoto, Japan. Nintendo was in attendance and had plenty of goodies for avid gamers to ogle at.
As well as showing off new games for the Wii and DS, the video game veteran had a massive display which illustrated the company's long and proud gaming history. Machines on show included the Famicom, Game Boy, Super Famicom and Game Boy Advance.
There's a massive photo gallery with images from the event here. Be sure to check it out!

Nice! Hope they do something like this in the US.
cool, i wanna get the Super Famicom someday, before they somehow cease to exist
They did this is Australia down at Melbourne. Quite a hole really, but the history was good none the less.
i envy japanese people
Awesome pictures thanks. That black Wii is so alluring, mmm.
Japan has yellow DSi. They get all the good stuff.
They really did a stellar job with the Gamecube set-up. Loads of games and peripherals. Though the small case size of the Gamecube games helps a lot...
THIS NEEDS TO COME HERE NOW
The photo gallery is awesome, that is one bookmarked Japanese web page.
I want to go there!
I'd love to go there with my lad.
Shame on you Nintendo! You left out a few years. Nevertheless wish I could go...
This is pretty interesting, but... do they show their cards they used to make before making games?
