You might remember that we recently did an in-depth news story on Dragon Master Spell Caster and now the developers have been kind enough to send us over a video showing the game in action.
As you can see from the video, there seems to be a bit of a Panzer Dragoon influence at times, although the aerial combat differs greatly from that of the legendary Panzer Dragoon Saga. You can take a look at the video below to get a little taste of the game in action.
Here's a little snippet from the developers describing what to expect from the game:
Making a full 3D game enabled us to make the most of the unique motion sensing capabilities of the Wii, so that players really enjoy flying the dragons and mastering the aerial combat and magical attacks.
We also included some light comic elements in the game, which players can encounter when spells fail to combine correctly - e.g. having your dragon transform into a rocket pack chicken as seen at the end of the video.
We'll keep you posted on any new developments with Dragon Master Spell Caster as they become available and we'll have a full review of the game when it hits the WiiWare service.
Update: Video trailer removed at the request of the developer.

Wow...this game does not impress me at all lol
From the Gameplay, I believe this game is going to be under the genre “Shovelware”!?
Yuck, this game actually makes Lair look good! Sorry but I am NOT buying this.
EDIT: When I said that this game makes Lair look good I was referring to how crappy of a game it was; there is no question that Lair was a very visually impressive game. This game however fails in every way possible!
Wow, that... looks....TERRIBLE!!!! Funny, I never heard of this N64 game before, Lol!
Can't see this video on my Wii.
As much as i love dragons and spells, this game looks awful. Its a complete shame.
Umm......I was at one time looking foward to this game. Now after seeing that, I'm not so sure. The controls looked terrible.
Wow, that looks awful. Almost as bad as how it sounds, even.
Considering the comments here, I hope that this game goes the opposite of Plaatchen or Evasive Space!
Why does this remind me of Superman 64?
The graphics are not good that's for sure, but what really puts me down is that you only fight other dragons, no enemies, no flying courses, not what I expected.
looks lame :C
After seing that, I'm still happily going to pass on this one.
Lair always looked good... Just didn't play very well... This however does neither... I'd rather say "this makes Buck Bumble look good"... Oh god, that game sucked so hard...
The graphics look great for a Super Nintendo game!
It seems to have the worst qualities of a N64 game.
I like the concept of flying a dragon around and fighting other dragons, but the visuals are a bit bothersom. It could turn out great, but for now, it isn't on my radar.
Way too ambitious for Wiiware, it looks like a poor N64 game and i bet the camera controls and gameplay are of the same quality. You just can't make this kind of game good with Wiiware's limitations.
not good.... it looks more of a prototype version of this game.
Wow, from the screenshots I thought this game might be good.
Now it doesn't even register as "passible."
@ Everyone complaining
This looks way better than WoG! It's even 3d! And that music was so epic! Day 1 for me!
hopefully its more fun then it looks...
This looks like a piece of s*** and by the looks of it, it plays like one too. This game just screams SHOVELWARE at me!!
Innovative my arse - that's like writing the word 'quality' in the review of a Bplus game.
Will this game require the N64's memory expansion pack to experience high-res graphics and a slower frame rate?
Wow! Checked by the site while surfing on Wii last thing yesterday, but couldn't watch the vid obv. The comments were surprising as I was kinda looking forward to this, it can't be that bad can it?
Just watched it, got half way through before turning it off, gosh that IS REALLY BAD! I'm impressed
Horrible, yuck..
Where's the IR cursor?
Meh, not that atrocious, but nothing special. Graphics are not "this-gen", but i've never put too much weight towards graphics when considering a game. May be a good one for young players who love dragons.
I will resist the urge to slag this off too much and hope that things turn out better than the video presently indicates...hopefully it's an early build (though if that's so it really shouldn't be used for a trailer...)?
Wow, that was horrible. Pure, undilated incompetence.
Aw man, Stickmen Studios is such a cool name, and they have the best logo ever, why did they have to make this?
Booooooooooooooooooooooring!!!!
its not the official trailer, so maybe they will improve the game. after those comments im realy sure they will think about it ^^.
I could barely make sense of it because the entire time it was stuttering through the entire video. it could still be good so i'll wait for the reveiw
Graphics: fine (for WiiWare)
Animation: fine
Gameplay: awful
Seriously guys, go play Rogue Squadron or Crimson Skies or Star Fox then ask yourselves honestly if you think that looks fun. 1on1 fighting like this entertains for aproximately 10 minutes, just look at the crappy tacked on vs modes you got in countless N64 games.
or stick to something simple like 2d platformers.
If thats the "trailer" that suggests its generally what the game is going to look like doesn't it? OMG, what a frack up
I am waiting on the review. As everyone has mention this resembles a low N64 release in its appearance but may I remind you that an N64 title will cost you twice the price as this. So give it a chance for the review. I still have some hope they can pull out decent game play.
