A second live-action commercial for the upcoming Punch-Out!! game has surfaced, centred this time on long-time coach Doc Louis. Played by Isiah Whitlock Jr. (best known for his role as Clay Davis on HBO's The Wire), Doc demonstrates the game's motion controls and take a pummelling from a certain glass-jawed sparring partner in the process. Watch below:
You can view the first live-action commercial (featuring Paulie Malignaggi as Little Mac) here, if you so desire.
Punch-Out!! is set for release on the 18th of this month in North America and the 22nd in European territories. Expect an in-depth review here at Nintendo Life in the coming weeks.

Totally off topic, but let me be the FIRST to mention how epic and fantastically-directed of a show The Wire is/was.
With that out of the way...these commercials are awesome....so fantastically corny.
"Yeeaaaah old Doc Luis still got some good punches in him!"
They should use this as the acctual tutorial video for Punch Out!! Wii.
I prefer the more serious tone of the in-game version, but this one is pretty good, especially when they get on him for not talking about the game.
It looks fun! But I actually thought you'd be dodging by moving nunchuk+remote left or right (like Wii Sports boxing). But it's probably better this way, more precise.
BTW, I've never seen The Wire.
Whoever plays Doc in these commercials is hilarious.
Clay Davis is hilarious. Unfortunately his catchphrase is unrepeatable here.
They should have these as bonus unlockables on the disc when you complete certain challenges etc
@Kirk: They might...
@clint - it's gritty, it's borderline pornographic at times, and almost the entire plot is centered on corruption, drugs, and simmilarly non-PG13 things like that, but I have never in my life watched 10 straight hours of another show and not gotten bored, and that's saying something.
The acting raises the bar on what I thought was possible for television, even on HBO.
...This isn't a videogame site or anything right?
Haha, that was good. So maybe Doc Louis was the 1 person to lose against Glass Joe for his 1-99 record.
