Today, Two Tribes would like to announce the opening of their new Toki Tori blog. It can be found here.
The blog will contain posts from the development team behind Toki Tori and focus on giving people inside information on the development of Toki Tori.
Also available are several new videos, which can be found at the Two Tribes YouTube channel, and an exclusive trailer, 'How to play Toki Tori!' which can be viewed through the Nintendo Channel on your Wii!
Stay tuned, because this is just the beginning Two Tribes informed us. They will be bringing you more blog entries and exciting Toki Tori news in the coming weeks!

I hope they make new games soon.
Toki Tori is one of the few WiiWare games that I have bought so far. It's really a nice game.
This can mean only 1 of 2 things.
Either toki tori dsiware, or toki tori 2 wiiware. Either way, I'm game!
If there is a new TT game, then that would be ace, although I doubt that the first did well enough to make this happen
Well hopefully this means something new from them. But then again, maybe they're taking a page from Nintendo's big marketing book and keep advertising the same game over and over again.
Keep in mind Toki Tori on WiiWare is technically the third game in the series already, so a sequel is not too far fetched. The previous two games were of course the GBC game and Eggbert.
I like to think they have dlc coming. New levels and items would be pretty cool.
This is old news for me for over a week but anyway....
@Drake: Plus, they DID say they'd consider a sequel!
Toki Tori is still one of the best WiiWare games available, so it's nice to read about the development and other things.
@ HOT-ROT (#7): DLC is very unlikely because of the technical factor. A function like that (to offer DLC) was not included.
(Although i think a release of a new version of the game (like it happened with some VC games) wouldn't be impossible.)
Interesting......
Releasing this on an old game....... this can mean one of two things:
1) To Get More Sales
2) Making a New Game
I hope its #2. Im no huge TT fan, but I can admit it was a quality build.
Good to see they're not giving up on Toki Tori. It's a great game, so i'd like to see more of the series. As for the "exciting Toki Tori news", here's what i think of the possibilities
-
Sequel? The more likely news IMO, although the sales don't add up to this being likely. Then again, it may have sold better than we think. Seeing that Two Tribes have at least considered it increase those chances. 75% Chance
Original Game? I Wish, although the fact Two Tribes say it's Toki Tori news makes that unlikely. 10% Chance
DLC? You never know, although i'd rule it out. Maybe a 500 point expansion if anything but i do highly doubt it. 10%
Hidden Secrets? Always a possibility but i wouldn't bet on it. Some games can hide secrets well. 20% Chance
DSiWare? That one intrigues me. Not many Devs seem to be jumping for the system, so it could give DSiWare a much needed boost in quality for it's games. However, it is possible that Two Tribes aren't that interested as well but being a small company i say there's a fair chance. I'd say 50% chance
Note that all figures are (obviously) based off my own judgment and might not be too accurate. Then again, i've had my moments.
You know guys if Drake didn`t report this it just wouldn`t feel right(because of his avatar in all).
Toki Tori was one of the best Games on the WiiWare Service and probably one of the best downloadable games of `08.
Apparently I love the which I do and its just a blast especially with friends lol
I might check this out.
I think this is the prelude to some kind of new project announcement. Probably TT related but I wouldn't mind hearing of something new they're working on.
I really like Toki Tori. But I would rather have a whole new game from Two Tribes than another sequel. I think sequels are always a bit boring if nothing important has changed except level maps. They could certainly create thousands of levels and sell them forever as DLC or sequels. But is this really that interesting?
I can cope with another Toki Tori game. I'd like to see one with a level editor built in so people can pass their creations on.
Actual tournaments (ala Tetris Party) would be nice - best times to complete a level would be the most obvious and DLC levels would have be a must simply because once you know your way around a level on Toki Tori you can do it with your eyes shut.
I'd like to think Toki Tori did pretty well on sales. It's obvious that WiiWare isn't a big sales platform but non-the-less, Toki Tori's been around a while and seems to be on many people's purchased lists. I'd buy it 10 times if I could - and no that doesn't mean that I want to gift it!
Regardless, I'd love to see another title from Two Tribes on WiiWare - Toki Tori or otherwise. I'd be very sceptical about developing anything for DSiWare until the console has been out for a few months in all regions simply because as far as I've heard many DS lite users aren't that interested in buying the DSi and most of what I've seen on the service looks to be in the form of money-grabbing tie-ins from existing DS software.
I might check this out.
Might isn't good enough, boy: you MUST "check this out".
