GoNintendo.com stated today:
Last week we talked about Matt Casamassina’s comments concerning a “popular third party fighter heading to the Wii, but with a twist”. We all figured it would be Soul Calibur, and Famitsu now confirms our guesses.
Soul Calibur Legends is heading to the Wii, and it will take the fighting franchise in an adventure direction. This time around you will meet the Soul Calibur characters through your journey, and that is when the fighting comes into play. Details are very scarce right now, but we do know that you’ll be fighting with the Wiimote. More information may pop up later tonight.
The thought of what's possible is already causing me to salivate.

I just hope Link is in this title!
Best news I heard all day. Fact.
I dunno, Soul Calibur 2 and 3 left me feeling a little...meh. If they can use the Wiimote in a meaningful way then it should be good, but I doubt they will be able to make it as action packed as the 'normal' Soul Caliburs - it would be hard to replicate the controls using the Wiimote. But who knows?
Hopefully Namco will support the machine with other franchies - Time Crisis please!
I thought Soul Calibur 2 was awesome. Of course the original was best but... I really did like Soul Calibur 2.
Soul Edge/Blade and Soul Calibur will always be my faves. The second one was good but it just felt too close to the first, IMO. I probably was guilty of not playing it enough, though. I played the Edge and the first Calibur to death!
