As you probably already know, it didn't take long for the macheads to get the Wiimote working on their machines, I even bothered to try it out, it was cool but had no real use - until now! The "Wii Loop Machine" is a fantastic example of what you can do with your Wiimote besides playing games, you really have to check this thing out.
"This weekend I finished the Wii Loop Machine software that I started a few weeks ago. It's a system for using the wireless Wii remote to sync, control, and manipulate loops in real time."
If you've got a Mac running OS X you can download it and give it a try yourself. The software allows you to control a bunch of music samples and stop/start them on-demand and also do a bunch of effects simply by moving the Wiimote around, check out the video:

One way of getting a party started
Will they release one for the PC?
Heh, some people are rather dedicated to Wiimote experiments.
hero-of-time, its possible. I think the runtime its using is Max/MSP which does have a windows version, no-idea if the guy will bother to port it over to windows though.
