Nintendo Announces Pokémon Rescue Team

Blue Rescue Team is the DS version, while the Red Rescue Team is a GBA game. Players will be able to use the wireless link or a linkup cable to trade items and collectables with each other.

One of the special things about these role-playing adventure games, is that you actually play as a pokemon, rather than a human trainer, like in most pokemon games. Mysteriously transformed overnight, the player awakes to find themselves in the guise of one of 16 different Pokémon, including Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. The player takes a personality test, and based on the results, the game automatically selects a pokemon for the player to play as.

The dungeons in the game is randomly generated, and so is a lot of the content, so you'll never see the same dungeon, giving the game a very good replay value.

Both games will be released in Europe on 10th November 2006.
