Chocobo & the Magic Picture Book is a spin-off of Square Enix's popular Final Fantasy games and is scheduled for release later this year. Being based on the Final Fantasy universe, the game will include several characters that you should be familiar with if you've played the Final Fantasy games, like the black mage and the Chocobo.

Square Enix haven't released much details on the gameplay mechanics of the game, but they have released a brief storyline. A black mage brings a strange picture book to the farm where the cute yellow main character lives, but this isn't a normal picture book, it's the home of the devil Bebuzu, and of course the Chocobo has to play a hero and jumps into the book to stop the demons evil plans and save his friends.

Chocobo & the Magic Picture Book for the Nintendo DS will be available in stores later this year.
