Nintendo announced its partnership with Opera to deliver a Web Browser for the Nintendo DS unit earlier this year. They have now announced that the first version of the software will be released in Japan this coming June. Date for North America and Europe are still unknown.

The browser will be distributed on a standard DS cartridge and is priced at 3800 yen, that's around £18 to you and me. Nintendo have also confirmed that users will be able to input their information using the stylus.

We'd imagine the unit to cost around the £20 mark when it finally gets its release over here in Europe and around $25~30 in the US.

When the original news broke there was talk of a memory expansion that would connect to the GBA slot, there have been no further details about this so far, we can only expect that it has been dropped.
