Super Mario RPG still sees Mario doing what he does best — jumping on heads and saving lives. On his journey to the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario encounters the Hammer Bros. in Mushroom Way who are holding a Toad captive. You'll get a strong weapon for Mario after taking these guys down, so lets-a-go!

How to defeat Hammer Bros.

Recommended party: Mario (that's all you have!)

The first true boss of Super Mario RPG, the Hammer Bros. aren't very hard, but they can take you by surprise. One move to keep an eye out for is their Hammer Time attack. For this move, one of the Hammer Bros. tosses four consecutive hammers. Block them with good timing and you’ll take minimal damage.

All you need to do is attack them with your strongest attacks and heal if you need to. Focus on one enemy at a time.

When one of the Hammer Bros. is defeated, the other will use Valor Up, which reduces the strength of your attacks. Attack the remaining Hammer Bro a few more times and it should go down without a problem.
