Super Mario RPG: How To Defeat Gunyolk

You're so close to the end of the game and just Gunyolk stands between you and the final boss of Super Mario RPG. Gunyolk waits for you at the end of Smithy's Factory after a gauntlet of factory workers. And it's time to put it out of commission.

How to beat Gunyolk

Recommended party: Mario, Geno, Peach

For being the penultimate battle, Gunyolk and the Factory Chief are pretty easy to take down. Particularly if you're using Peach and she has the Lazy Shell armor equipped.

Peach can tank enough to survive any hit that comes her way, and she can actually use Mute here in a pinch to prevent Gunyolk from using any special attacks. Otherwise, use Geno Boost on Mario and pummel the pair with physical moves.

Geno Flash is great for dishing out damage on both enemies. Just make sure you don't use fire attacks as Gunyolk is immune to them.

That should be all there is to it. Keep hammering at both of them until the fight ends.
