The Nintendo Switch Lite launched in 2019 and is a smaller, handheld-only version of the Nintendo Switch.

Is the Switch Lite weaker than the Switch?

Spec-wise, looking at the tech inside the console, the Switch Lite is no weaker than the standard Switch. Games on Switch won't run better or differently from a visual or performance standpoint. The smaller screen and the inability to play Switch Lite on a television or play same-screen multiplayer quite so easily are the only ways in which the Switch Lite is 'weaker' than the regular Switch.
