The door to the storage backroom

Good job, detective! You've made it to a new area in Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir. But the puzzle is a little hard to decipher, eh?

As part of our Famicom Detective Club guide, we're here to help you figure out how to progress.

"Take" the lock to unlock the door, then open it

Just in case you hadn't figured that bit out yet. It is a bit weird.

"Remember"

Oh yeah! You have a flashlight!

(We recommend saving the game here, in case you get lost during the next part.)

Examine the piece of paper

The code will help you figure out what to do.

Press "B" to exit the menu

You can move left, right, forwards and backwards.

Follow these directions.

Turn left, and go forward twice. You should be facing a drawing of a rat.

"Remember"

You'll figure out that the hand mirror is a map.

Follow these directions.

From facing the rat, go backwards, turn right, go forwards, turn left, go forwards, turn right, go forwards, turn left, go forwards.

If you look to your left now, you should see a drawing of a rooster. That means you're on the right track. Turn to your right again.

Go forwards, turn left, go forwards, turn right, go forwards, turn left, go forwards, turn left.

You should see a horse drawing. Go forwards towards it, then forwards once more. It should say something about the wall moving.

Turn back around to face the opposite direction.

Go forwards, turn left, forwards, turn left, forwards, turn right, forwards, turn left, forwards, turn left.

You should now see a drawing of a rabbit. Go towards it, then forwards again. The same message should appear.

Turn back around to face the opposite direction.

Go forwards, turn left, forwards, turn left, forwards, turn right, forwards, turn left, forwards, forwards again, turn left, forwards, turn right, forwards, turn left, forwards, turn left.

You should now see the rooster drawing again.

Same deal: go forwards, and forwards again. The wall should move.

You can take it from here, folks!
