Guide: Every Mortal Kombat 1 Character, Kameo Fighter & DLC Reveal

Hey that's neat. I just want to know the state of the Switch port, how awful the monetization will be, if it's going to beg me for money on every screen (including ads for 1 in XI), and if I need an online connection for PRACTICE AND TUTORIAL progression. You know...all of the gross stuff in XI.

Man, whatever design choices they made for 11 amd now 1 are just straight muddy and miserable to look at. That and the 100 GB demand for space, the way they handled monetization in MK11. It... Just hurts to be a massive MK fan to watch this era of MK just straight up getting blistered.

I miss the Heavy Metal inspiration and savagery of MKX and back. Feels like it's trying to find a visual identity again.

Lot of these characters look completely unrecognizable now.

I'm really excited to see Shao no longer be Kahn and instead be General Shao. Hopefully his character will be taken in a better direction after the horrid state he was in during 11.

So other than the guest DLC cast, the entire roster is just reboot versions of old fighters? I don't think I see a new character among the old cast here. I guest we probably won't see any new fighters until Mortal Kombat 2 perhaps.

Other than guest appearances, I don't think any MK fighter should be DLC. It should come with all MK characters, even if they're not in the story mode.

This game is getting a lot of coverage on this site. Probably good relations with Warner Bros.

@Serpenterror pretty much every character has been rewritten so I can understand it, and after so many games it must be difficult coming up with good ones although 11 had some good new ones.
@NinjaNicky yeah I agree with that, especially someone like Shang Tsung.

It’s turning out to be quite the list of characters but you forgot to add Scorpion to the the list of fighters.

Can't wait for this game. The whole think looks amazing and they're finally treating Reptile (my fave character) with some respect after countless installments of making him a doofus whipping boy.

@LikelySatan After MK11, I won't be bothering to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hard pass.

Hopefully they pull off the port, though I wonder. Beyond that, I hope NRS has the ability to balance the gameplay. They tend to create extremely powerful archetypal play styles (zoning or rushdown) and not a lot viable in between. With variations dead (thank God), maybe everyone will feel more well-rounded.

Why isn't the premium edition available in the UK on Switch?

What the hell are Kameo Fighters? Are these characters playable or not? Jax had better be in this game, and not as just some cameo appearance. And those DLC characters suck, easily the worst selection in the series so far.
