Bayonetta 3: Chapter 6 - Off The Rails Walkthrough

Welcome to chapter 4 of our Bayonetta 3 walkthrough guide. We've got lots more verses and collectibles to get our hands on here so let's dive right in.

Bayonetta 3: Chapter 6 - Off The Rails Walkthrough - All Collectibles

Bewitchments

Stay on the lava wheel for 5 seconds - Just at the start of the chapter, head to your immediate right and jump on the lava wheel here. Stay on top for five seconds!

Run across the crumbling path without falling into the lava - During the sequence where the long path is crumbing away, make sure to move quickly, perhaps in spider form to avoid falling off as you go.

Avoid getting hit by debris thrown by Pyrocumulus - During both phases of the battle with Pyrocumulus, make sure to avoid all of the debris he's chucking in your direction!

Deflect Arch-Pyrocumulus' staff attack 3 times - During the climactic battle of this chapter, follow the button prompts to deflect your enemy's staff attacks.

Use Phantasmaraneae to knock Pyrocumulus off of the wall - A tricky one but you can manage it with practice during this battle.

Verse #1

Chapter 6 opens in a large courtyard and turning around you'll see a large cracked door directly behind you. Smash it open to enter this area and find Verse #1 awaiting you.

Once you're done with this battle, head back into the main courtyard and turn to the left, over in the corner here you'll find Figure Box.

Now head all the way over to the right to stand on the lava wheel here and earn your first Bewitchment.

Verse #2

From here head straight down the walkway towards the light of Verse #2.

Umbran Cat

You'll also come across Umbran Cat as you make your way down here.

Card Pack #1

On top of the roof facing the courtyard where Verse #2 takes place you'll find a Card Pack.

Treasure Chest #1

You'll also find a chest overlooking the courtyard here.

Figure Box #2

There's also a Figure Box to be found overlooking the main courtyard where you started the level.

Verse #3

Once we collected all these bits and pieces we can make our way to the doorway in the main courtyard where verse #3 will kick off.

Treasure Chest #2

Defeat this battle to open a way forward and, before heading through the main door, hop up above it to find another chest with a Broken Moon Peal inside.

Card Pack #2

Once through the doorway, head on down towards the tower and on your left you'll find a Card Pack tucked into the area we've pictured below.

Figure Box #3

Now use Gomorrah to knock over the tower ahead of you to make a bridge to proceed. Note there's another Figure Box to grab as you cross this makeshift bridge.

Treasure Chest #3

Once across here you've got a few things to do out to your right hand side. You'll see a chest over here. This chest will reveal moving platforms that lead you over to a Time Manipulation puzzle.

Once in control of the automaton here forward time twice, once to open up a way into the building on the left to nab a Witch Heart.

Figure Box #4

Then forward time again to reveal the Figure Box in the lava to the right side.

Treasure Chest #4

Once you've done all of this, you'll see another chest ahead of you on the bridge. This one reveals moving platforms to take you back over to the other side of the lava.

Before you leave this side, though, you'll see a Figure Box floating above lava. You can use Phantasmaraneae form to walk over the lava and climb/swing up to nab this.

Treasure Chest #5

Once you've got this, keep moving around to the other side of these rocks to find another chest, smack it to reveal a simple timed challenge where you use spider form to gather up pieces of chest scattered across the lava to net yourself a Broken Heart Piece.

Verse #4

Now, with all of that collecting out of the way, head back to the main route of the level and you'll kick off Verse #4.

Umbran Crow

Once you're done here you can keep moving straight forward to reach an area with a Gates Of Hell portal. To the right of this portal is a tower at the end of the road with our Umbran Crow hidden atop it.

Verse #6

You'll also be able to see the glow of Verse #6 over here.

Figure Box #6

Once you've finished this short battle, head onto the roof of the small building overlooking the arena for a Figure Box.

Verse #5

Now head down the steps to the right of the arena. Keep heading down here and you'll find the Verse #5 combat challenge. This time you need to defeat all enemies with a continuous combo.

Treasure Chest #6

There's a final set of chests now just below the Verse #5 challenge portal. Smash the first one to give yourself a magic source then use an Infernal Demon to smash the moving chest to nab a Broken Witch Heart.

Phew! With all of this done we can head on back to the main route, where the Gates of Hell portal was, and keep pushing forward. We'll now get a quick cutscene and Pyrocumulus arrives on the scene. Make a dash for it and you'll receive a Bewitchment if you can make it across the crumbling path without coming a cropper.

Verse #7

Once over the crumbling section of road, you'll engage with Verse #7.

Card Pack #3

When you've defeated your enemies here, look out to your right and you'll see a Card Pack sat on a ledge surrounded by lava.

Umbran Toad

Also over here, you should be able to hear the croaks of an Umbran Toad. You'll find him stuck to the statue as pictured below.

Now let's go left and head up the lift. You can hop out onto the ledge halfway up to run across and reveal a Scurrier here. Then get back on the lift and continue up.

Treasure Chest #7

Up top you'll find a chest to your right. Smash it reveal a simple time trial for some goodies.

Verse #8

You'll also easily spot the portal for Verse #8 combat challenge. This time you'll need to watch out for floor damage! You'll get a full Witch Heart for your troubles here.

We can now head on through the damaged door and continue on with the action.

Verse #9

Verse #9 will kick off as soon as you enter this next courtyard and remember that avoiding all of the fiery debris that Pyrocumulus shoots at you will earn you another Bewitchment. Make sure to dodge his attacks here and in the next sequence.

Verse #10

You'll reach another cutscene now featuring an alternate reality Bayo that kicks off Verse #10 where you'll need to once again avoid all incoming debris as you use a turret gun to shoot at Pyrocumulus.

Verse #11

Now prepare for a battle against Arch-Pyrocumulus in Verse #11. Remember to deflect his staff attack 3 times to nab yourself another of this level's Bewitchments in one of the daftest battles we've ever seen in a video game.
