As well as playing nearly all games for the original console, the next Nintendo system will have its own tailor-made Switch 2 games you can't play anywhere else, alongside all the multiplatform releases and ports.
So, in order to both guide you and to stoke the internal hype fires even further (as if that were possible), we've put together this handy quick list of all Switch 2-exclusive games that have been announced thus far.
And beneath the list, you'll find some extra details for all the ones announced prior to launch, too. Let's go!

Looking for a little more info, some trailers and the like for some of the unreleased ones? We're happy to oblige.
Star Fox (25th June 2026)
In 2026, Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy are making their grand return on Switch 2. Yep, Star Fox is alive and well with a brand new game. Well, new reimagining.
Yes, this is Star Fox 64 again, but at its most beautiful, with new challenges, modes, difficulties, and multiplayer options. And AR filters, if that's your thing. We don't have long to wait for this one at all.
Splatoon Raiders (23rd July 2026)
Of course Splatoon is coming to Switch 2, but it's coming with a big twist. Splatoon Raiders looks to be a more single-player-focused entry as opposed to the usual multiplayer madness that we're used to.
We know that we'll be playing as the 'Mechanic' and teaming up with Splatoon 3's Deep Cut, but we'll find out more in July.
The Duskbloods (TBC 2026)
FromSoftware dropping what looked like Bloodborne 2 for a second, and a Switch 2 exclusive no less? Did anyone else almost faint?
The Duskbloods is a PvPvE game from the creators of the Soulslike genre, and even though the idea of multiplayer does put us off a little - we are gonna put our trust in the team, we know they can create magic, come up with unique new mechanics, and utilise online aspects in very clever ways...so we are psyched.
And what a boon for the console, to have such a prestige and "grown-up" exclusive to add to its lineup almost straight away.

"Astro Bot-styled approach" – sounds good! The free/pack-in PS5 demo game was great (and a nice return to quality pack-in games), and the full blown Astro Bot (2024) is worth the price. I wish the Switch 2 demo game came with the system though. Nintendo Land was a great Wii U demo that would have been a perfect pack-in game.
@blecch Agreed. To me Welcome Tour made me think of Welcome Park for Vita, a great app I go back to on occasion to test how my Vita works. Besides other games of course.
That and yes Nintendo Land was a lot of fun. Wii Sports. 3DS software was fair for things to do. Switch 1 had uh the news app, and that other one that came out.
Or the few games i get for testing peripherals when I care to look into them (or workarounds when some are delisted like Playlink PS4 games the disks for the games and the Android versions of the apps for old firmware, not usable on PS5. Basically Everybody 1 2 Switch smartphone supported minigames but it's PS4 2014, years before PSVR1. That 2010s smartphone apps with consoles era like Wii U/Vita having second screen functionality. Only games like Hidden Agenda were good and the rest were average party games or Singstar (after it's PS3 outing a fair PS4 offering).
