Review Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii)
A game that truly lives up to its name
Kirby has enjoyed success on Nintendo's various portable systems in recent years, but he hasn't shown up in a game of his own on a home console since his Nintendo 64 adventure Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards back in 2000. Nintendo obviously took notice of this when it put Good Feel Games on the task of creating a...

Kirby's Epic Yarn News
Feature Our Predictions For Nintendo's E3 2021 Direct
Switch Pro, BOTW2, and high, high hopes
It's been a long, weird year, but E3 is back after last year's COVID cancellation. It's still a digital event, as we're not out of the woods yet, but that means we'll be seeing all the big names on the (virtual) stage again. But will Nintendo give us everything we've hoped for, or will we be left a little...
Soapbox 10 Years On, Kirby's Epic Yarn Is Still The Pink Puffball's Finest Outing
Fluff and nonsense
It's time for a Nintendo Life Soapbox confession. Ready? While the majority of the gaming world takes Masahiro Sakurai's most cherished child heartily to their collective bosom (squeezing his squidgy body in their embrace, no doubt), I've always found Kirby a bit... what's the word? Oh yes: rubbish. I'm not talking about how he...

News Tomoya Tomita Leaves Good-Feel Games, Uploads Recent Compositions Online
The composer for Yoshi's Woolly World and Kirby's Epic Yarn
When it comes to famous Nintendo composers, Koji Kondo is usually the first name to come to mind, due in no small part to his significant contributions to the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda series'. One composer's name that you may not be quite so familiar with is that of Tomoya Tomita,...

News North Americans Get Two New Kirby Games on Wii U VC This Week
Mass Attack and Epic Yarn join the fray
Kirby has always sort of been an experimental franchise for Nintendo. Of course, the power-stealing platforming type of game has always been the foundation, but the Big N hasn't been afraid to branch out with new or weird gameplay ideas featuring the Super-Tuff Pink Puff. Over the years, this has resulted in...

News Kirby Casts On a Disappointing UK Chart Debut
Did delay hurt sales?
Kirby's Epic Yarn finally made its way to Europe last week, having been available in North America since the end of October, but its first weekend of sales in the UK don't make a strong case for the delay helping sales. The game completely failed to dent the all-formats top 40, landing in the Wii-specific charts at number 9,...

Kirby’s Epic Yarn emerged from E3 as a highlight for many people, even winning the much sought-after Nintendo Life Best Overall Game of E3 Award. E3 2010 First Impressions: Kirby's Epic Yarn
We take Nintendo's newest Kirby title for a spin
In the weeks leading up to the E3 show, we all heard the rumours of a new Kirby game being possibly in development so it should come as no real shock that one actually materialised during Nintendo's Press Conference. What is surprising is that Kirby's Epic Yarn is not only a 2D side-scroller for the...
About The Game
Kirby Offers a New Take on String Theory
Kirby's first console platform game since the Nintendo 64â„¢ days introduces an amazing new look based on animated yarn and a world of cloth and textiles. The creative approach is woven directly into the game play and allows the ever-morphing Kirbyâ„¢ to take on a variety of new forms. It's a one-of-a-kind platformer that lets players explore high and low for hidden objects and fun adventure.
FEATURES:
- The look of the world is stunning, but it's also interactive. Pulling on stray threads might reveal hidden areas. When Kirby literally goes behind the scenes, the virtual fabric warps and bends to show his location.
- Thanks to his versatile yarn composition, Kirby can take on a variety of forms both in his common actions and when he transforms into powerful vehicles. When Kirby dashes, he zips around as a car. In water, he turns into a submarine. At times he can even transform into a massive robotic tank, a UFO and other vehicles.
- Two players can play through the entire game together.
- Gems and collectible items are scattered throughout the environments for players to find.

Go Kirby!!!
It's almost like a "Paper Kirby" It appears to have all the charm for Kirby that the Paper Mario series has for Mario. Must buy...
I likes yarn
Graphics 10 out of 10! Can't wait for this.
Woo hoo!
Yarn? Really?
Awesome! Can't wait to try it.
When I read the title at first I thought it said Kirby's Epic Yam
Why is Kirby made out of yarn
This looks better than expected.... Still I'm probably more anticipated for the new DKC game.
Too many awesome games, and im just a plain Nintendo Fan.
okay, see the artwork there? Kirby all happy-faced? Just wait for the actual release and you'll see his eyes all angry. They do that with EVERY Kirby release, and always change his facial expression when it comes to the states. I hope I'm wrong about it this time, because I like that image.
This game looks kinda on the younger side of things, but I have no doubt in my mind that this on will be pure fun!!!
i hope this game is very challenging... N is starting to make things to easy! Paper Mario, Yarn Kirby... me like
i just am very disappointed its a motion wii game
i dont like motions, if they only would make more games with wiimote and controller options....
Weird.......but what the heck, i'll get it!
pre-ordered. EU release date?

This game is awesome puppetmaster!! Get it when it comes out ASAP!!
This game is good, but it has some faults...
the worst one is probably that u cant die.
a good pro is that it has good graphics and gameplay
but overall, it's a good game so get it!
in my book, this is a 7/10!
Well I guess I looks pretty neat. Has anyone noticed how games now days put the word "EPIC" in there title? Like: Disney "Epic" Mickey
hmm, i read on the nintendo site (official site) that it wasnt a kirby game at the start, maybe thats why i dont really like the idea of this game
tbh, i hope that cencelled game will show up (with at least GC controller support)
oh hey, you guys in EU are finally getting Epic Yarn, eh? From here in the US, I highly recommend it!
How could I've forgotten yesterday's release? However, in my defense, I do remember not seeing it at the game shop. Nonetheless and notwithstanding the current downpour from mother nature I will bravely face the elements and swiftly without any further ado venture out on a quest of Kirbianesque proportions to buy this truly epic game immediately. Hurray for Kirby!
eehhhh... it was OK. Definitely not the best Kirby game. Probably 7.5/10
2014 and I havent gotten this yet....WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?????????????????
@drewb0203 you seriously need to get this game. It's my favourite game of all time!
This game's so cute and engaging! It's very calming and rewarding.
