The Pokémon series has been through a lot, and a casual observer would be forgiven for assuming that the developers must be out of fresh ideas after twenty long years. Thankfully people who spend far too much time playing video games, like us and many reading these pages, know better. Enter Pokémon Sun and Moon,...

Guide Collecting Zygarde's Cores for the Complete Forme in Pokémon Sun and Moon
Gotta find 'em all
Zygarde was one of the great mysteries towards the end of the last generation, with new forms being introduced and no game to tie them together, but Pokémon Sun and Moon finally provide the first time that these forms are usable in a main game. Getting these forms is a convoluted process where, once given the Zygarde Cube, you...

Soapbox For A Jaded Pokémon Fan, Scarlet And Violet Is Exactly What I Need
Just when I thought I was out... They pull me back in
For many years now, I've been buying the mainline Pokémon games primarily out of some twisted sense of obligation. Back in 1999, Pokémon Red and Blue launched at the perfect time for me; I was ten at the time of its release and had already gotten a good sense of what Pokémon was all about...
Feature Dynamax Ain’t That Bad - Pokemon’s Recent Battle Mechanics Ranked
VGC pro Wolfe Glick talks Mega Evolutions, Z-Moves, and Dynamax

The armchair features all of the adorable owl Pokémon's key features, from...
Back Page Pokémon Moms Speak Out About Palindromic Regions And Raising Champions
A trio of Pokémom
In the magazine business, the Back Page is where you'd find all the weird goofs that we couldn't fit in anywhere else. Some may call it "filler"; we prefer "a whole page to make terrible jokes that are tangentially related to the content of the mag". We don't have (paper) pages on the internet, but we still love terrible jokes...
News New Poké Lids Highlight Gardevoir And Alolan Dugtrio
Fukuoka gets five new manhole covers
By this point, we've covered Poké Lids so much that we're genuinely hoping Nintendo might notice and send us one in the post. It's unlikely, of course, because the Japan-only decorative manhole covers are very heavy and probably quite expensive — but still. We can hope. The five newest Poké Lids were all...

Hands On Pokémon Sun and Moon - Special Demo Version
Demonstrative indeed
Demos have come an awfully long way over the years, even to the point where these bite-sized chunks can be considered full games in their own right; you only have to look at the Bravely series to know what we're talking about. So it was no surprise when Nintendo announced the arrival of a demo for the upcoming Pokémon Sun &...
Hands On Checking Out A New Generation In Pokémon Sun and Moon
Talking 'bout our generation
From the off it's clear that here's been a tremendous level of effort from Game Freak to make Pokémon Sun and Moon another notable evolution of the Pokémon series; whilst the jump from Black and White to X and Y was like a Bulbasaur becoming an Ivysaur, the jump to this generation is more like a Magikarp becoming a...
About The Game
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon take place in the Alola region, which centres around four tropical islands and one artificial island.
Many Pokémon that have never been seen before inhabit the lush islands of the Alola region. The story begins right after the main character moves to the Alola region. After choosing to play as a hero or heroine, players can customise their character's name and appearance. No sooner have they arrived than their adventures begin to unfold, and they meet many fascinating people as they travel through the region.

forget Pokémon Z we have a new star here (and a satellite !)
These games are going to have to be preeetty amazing to make up for not having another Kalos game.
I had kind of fallen out of Pokemon before Black and White came out but now I'm more into it than ever and I'm super hyped for a new generation.
will it be available for ds lite or dsi
I need Pokemon Moon so hard! I have gotten at least one Pokemon game from every generation and am still just as hyped for the next generation as I've been for all the others! So looking forward to adding this to my ever-growing collection! I hope we see some excellent gameplay come E3 2016 too!
@jayson_cha Nope! Purely for the 3DS family. Gonna have to upgrade if you wanna touch this Gen.
Sun and Moon name kind of reminds me of Heart Gold and Soul Silver seeing as the moon is silver and the sun is said to be gold... It may be just a guess. Still I am hoping for a Johto game on the Eshop either the classics or remake. Since Red, Blue and Yellow were the quickest and best selling games on the Eshop hopefully Gold, Silver, and Crystal will arrive too. Why would Nintendo not won't to put something on the Eshop if it was a for sure success? Any way I heard that you can start with any type in this new game. I have no clue what type I shall go for. I guess there is time only what 7 months till it comes out.
It's not always Black and White, but your heart always knows whats right. And my heart is telling me BUY BOTH!
Can't wait, I'm betting the legendary for sun is fire and psychic type and the legendary for moon is water and dark type. I hope Sun and Moon are kinda like X/Y, that would be fun.
PS. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what the starters are, any ideas?
The starters are so.... cute?
@Pikagirl05 I believe there's been a leak about it. My memory is a little hazy, but I'm sure we can all breathe a sigh of relief that this generation's not going to be fire/fighting.
thank goodness @Ed_Fairway, no more fire/fighting starters. To be perfectly honest i'm okay with fire/fighting types, it's just there are too many starters like that.
I hope that these games take full advantage of my New 3DS XLs extra processing power and memory usage. If not, I will enjoy these Pokemon games regardless.
@Bolt_Strike It's the opposite. Z would have to be "preeetty amazing" to justify its existence when we could get a lot more for the same price... which we are getting.
@Interneto Except that generation debut games tend to have less content and polish than third versions and sequels. Throwing that out the window puts their standards on depth and content into question.
Still gotta catch em all.
@Bolt_Strike I prefer to pay +40€ for a solid game that I've never experienced than buying the version 1.5 of a game that was released less than 3 years ago, thank you.
@jayson_cha 3ds only lol they dont make for ds or dsi anymore
I'm certainly hoping they mix things up with the plot. I mean, ZYGARDE'S FORMES are included, and if you look carefully at it's chest mouth, there's four cores matching x, y, sun and moon's colours, that has to mean something
@DDStuff @Bolt_Strike hi how much the e3 gameboy advance correct me if im wrong
can someone help me
I really want this game, but I am incredibly cautious about the Z moves and Alola forms, hopefully I am proven wrong.
@PorygonSuperFan Same
I'm still waiting to hear that there are actual gyms in this game. I'm a little worried though because it's being released in less than a month and still no gym leaders announced. #Waitingsucks
22 DAYS UNTIL RELEASE!!!!
still no gyms.
#Waitingsucks
i love this game and finally, I get to migrate my pokemon from silver to emerald, platinum, heart gold, white 2,omega ruby, until now.
So you encounter a shop selling thunder stones a little before you meet someone who can teach Pikachu volt tackle.
That's just Game Freak being a ****
This game could have gone better if they had gyms in this game it could have better and the only thing good about this is Guzma who is the boss of the villainous Team Skull and Litten who is the fire starter is so cute.
This is not a perfect game and does not deserve a 10/10. I'm not saying its bad either but it does contain flaws that mar the gaming experience. For starters, it leaves you with unanswered questions such as who is Mohn? Is he Lillie and Gladion's father? That seems incredibly likely yet we never have this answered and Mohn remains a very two dimensional character. Its a shame because Pokémon usually shines in its character variety and breathing personality into each person you meet. Secondly, the double battle system can be dragged down by lag. This is most likely due to the incredible amount of data that makes up this game so I can understand to a degree but the fact that there have been several updates and not one of them has fixed this truly bothers me. Thirdly, the difficulty level is ridiculously low. Nintendo has made this game easy enough for a toddler to master and I feel they are forgetting that many of their fans are adults who appreciate games with a higher level of difficulty. In spite of all this, this is also a great game in its own right. Rockruff and Lycanroc are the first new evolutionary line to become my new favorite since the Zorua line in 2011. The Alola region is gorgeous. All in all, 8.5/10.
thank nintedno for this game but can you make some free game pleas
i love this game i have 5 legendary pokemon
I want this game
How can download this game? Can anyone share.thanks
the game was all right, not compelling in my opinion but it was all right I found it somewhat challenging
