Review Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (3DS)
Throw away the key
Being ambitious is no easy task. Playing a full, big-budget console game on a portable system is likely in every gamer’s wildest fantasies, but due to hardware limitations, we’re often left disappointed by half-hearted ports. Armature Studio, in its infinite wisdom, recognized this concern and chose to take this one in a...

Why do we fall, Master Wayne?
Please note that while we've given the games in the Batman Arkham Trilogy separate entries in the list below, they're currently only purchasable on Switch as a three-game package. Remember, this list is still subject to fluctuation even now depending on each game's User Rating. Feel free to rate the new entries and see...

Nintendo Download 7th November (Europe)
Wii Sports returns, Layton's legacy, Olympics, Batman and much more
The download details for Europe arrived a little later than usual this week, possibly because it's a rather lengthy release list. We have high profile retail games on Wii U and 3DS, along with some interesting download-only options and discounts both permanent and temporary. There's...
Video Footage of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Emerges for 3DS Caped Crusaders
We pretend it's the Christian Bale Batman
Batman: Arkham Origins is the first portable title in the series kicked off by Rocksteady, and is developed by some Retro Studios veterans that founded Armature. Those two facts alone have some intrigued, but footage has been limited and when Warner Bros. did show more yesterday it was of the Vita version;...
Nintendo Download 24th October (North America)
Destinies are fulfilled, retail big-hitters arrive and more
It's taken a little longer than normal to receive confirmation, but we finally have the North American download information for the week. This time around the focus is truly on retail downloads, though a much-anticipated download-only title arrives from Capcom. Let's get to it. Wii U...
News Batman: Arkham Origins and Blackgate Delayed in Europe
Only on Nintendo systems and PC, though
When it comes to the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins, its relationship with the Wii U has been rather frosty, which is appropriate as the Dark Knight will be beating on thugs in a Winter setting. Nintendo's system is missing out on the multiplayer mode — which itself is a first for the series — and it's...
First Impressions Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
Batmanvania
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for the Nintendo 3DS is an interesting release for a number of reasons. First off, it’s the only game in a now four-year-old series to land on a handheld console. Second, the plot takes place sometime between the forthcoming Batman: Arkham Origins and series flagship Batman: Arkham Asylum. Third, in...
News Expect Batman To Sound Different In Arkham Origins
Kevin Conroy isn't reprising his role in the upcoming game
Voice actor Kevin Conroy has confirmed that he won't be returning to provide his vocal talents to Bruce Wayne's alter ego in the forthcoming Batman: Arkham Origins. Conroy has lent his voice to the Caped Crusader in cartoons and games for many years, with his first video game credit being...
News Armature Reveals More Details For Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
"In my gut I feel like, yeah, it’s going to be cool"
Not too long ago Warner Bros. announced both Batman: Arkham Origins, which is coming to Wii U, and accompanying 3DS title Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. While the Wii U title will follow in the footsteps, stylistically, of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City, the handheld Blackgate...
News Batman: Arkham Origins Confirmed for Wii U
3DS gets a 2.5D spin off, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
Earlier in the year we learned that a new Batman Arkham title was due in 2013, courtesy of a Warner Bros. financial briefing, and we were hoping that it'd appear on Wii U. The good news is that the statement was true and that Nintendo's system is in line to enjoy the next entry; Batman:...

About The Game
Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the first two critically acclaimed games of the franchise.
Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.

So exciting.. I hope the gameplay is pure 2D platformer (with blast!). I Haven't play Batman game since SNES -time (LEGO Batman game does not count).
I am so excited! im saving up for pokemon x&y and batman! im gonna buy both of them since they come out on the same day! and I agree with you marakassi lego batman doesn't count!
Head members from Retro Studios are going to take part in this game, so you guys may see some Metroid-related things in it. I'm a bit disappointed about the head members leaving Nintendo for a bit; the possibility of a new Metroid game seems to get lower and lower.
Day-one-insta-buy-never-any-regrets-purchase.
It looks really good. It will make the wait for a 3DS Metroid easier.
I am going to get this Friday! I can't wait, because I loved the home console verison for Wii U.
