Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version News
Video Documentary Looks Over the Sad Demise of Mega Man Legends 3
A bold project that couldn't survive
In the early days of the 3DS few projects caused as much disappointment among dedicated fans as Mega Man Legends 3. Originally announced as an innovative collaboration between fans and developers - a fresh idea at the time - it gradually unravelled. Following the departure of Keiji Inafune from Capcom, the game...
News Mega Man Legends 3 8-Bit Fan Demake is Available Now
It's more than Capcom's giving us
Last year we told you about an 8-bit demake of Mega Man Legends 3 being produced by a group of fans; it promised quite a departure from the original 3D adventure, naturally, as it was taking the characters and setting for a more typical 2D action Mega Man experience. It's taken quite some time, but it's finally...
News Fans Plan a Revival of Mega Man Legends 3
Of course...
Those that were there at the beginning of the 3DS era, in Spring 2011, may remember the buzz around Mega Man Legends 3, the series exclusive from Capcom. It was hyped as a coup for the system, though Capcom was getting cold feet as 3DS sales initially struggled and, in all likelihood, had doubts regardless of hardware performance. We...
News Capcom Employee Outlines Details on Mega Man Legends 3 Cancellation
"Two years later and we're still here talking about it"
Mega Man Legends 3 is still a sore topic for some 3DS owners, as it aimed to involve the Mega Man community through its Devroom forum and promised a prototype version on the 3DS eShop to gauge its potential success. Unfortunately, the prototype and the main game were canned, leading to legions...
News Fan Group Prepares to Release 8-Bit Demake of Mega Man Legends 3
Former game staffers contribute
For those that didn't know, this past Saturday the Mega Rock Fan Fiesta event took place in Tokyo, and at the shindig a rather surprising fan project was announced. As the Blue Bomber's fans continue to bemoan the cancellation and abandonment of Mega Man Legends 3, a Facebook group called Get Me Off the Moon — which...
News Mega Man Legends 3 Lives On In Fan-Made Browser Game
The legend will never die
Capcom broke a few hearts when it cancelled Mega Man Legends 3, but lovers of the Blue Bomber don't take setbacks like this sitting down. Fans Blyka and fAB have created a browser-based version of the Servbot mission in the Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version. Servbot Roundup allows you to: Ride around as Barrett, as...

News Mega Man Legends 3 Campaign Hits 100,000 Strong
Now what?
The campaign to resurrect Mega Man Legends 3 — snappily titled 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 — just hit its milestone on Facebook. The campaign isn't over, though. Now the group needs to turn its button-clicks into action, inviting members to send postcards to Capcom by the month's end. Thes
Talking Point How Much Fan Influence Should Game Studios Allow?
What's the magic formula?
There was a time not too long ago when the origins of the games we play were somewhat mysterious. We knew the company names and could view credit sequences until the cows came home and magazine readers could gain some extra insight, but by and large the thought processes, discarded ideas and development stages that went...
News Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelled
Goodbye, devroom
Mega Man Legends 3 has easily become one of the more interesting projects in development for the 3DS, with its influence on fan input in the form of an interactive online devroom, votes to decide character designs and more and an announced Prototype Version, once planned to launch alongside the eShop, which would showcase the game...

Dunno, I thought it was going to be a eshop launch title to be honest...
can you purchase 3d games from the eshop?
i love 3DS
@8 of course
This was supposed to be a eShop launch title, but it's since been indefinitely delayed and Capcom hasn't updated on a new release date. And considering that they said this prototype is meant to determine if the game will actually be made, I'm concerned.

MegaMan Legends is still dead
y Capcom y? :/
Still waiting...
the 100,000 people for megaman legends 3 reached it's goal of 100,000 people. so what now?
Make that 100,001. Please bring us Megaman on 3ds!!!!
i love how this was in the hot eshop game section and that it really got my hopes up
How on earth did this become popular out of the blue? It's not that interesting now that it's cancelled. Not to mention Mega man 11 would probably be better suited anyway.
@TheDreamingHawk Megaman Legends 3 is perfect for the 3DS. The game would have not been big enough for a huge HD release, but fits right in on the 3DS. Megaman 11 could be on any console. This would have been a great unique game for the 3DS.
I just noticed this game is on the top of the "Hot eShop games" list on the bottom of the site pages. That's pretty darned cool for a cancelled game. Shame Capcom doesn't give a crap...
POR QUE!!! (But why!!!)
Bring it back Capcom we were looking forward to it !
OMG WHY HAS IT BEEN CANCELED IT LOOKED SO EPIC!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never played Megaman....
COME ON CRAPCOM! YOU COULD'VE AT LEAST KEPT PART OF THE GAME!
I have bad news. As of May 6, 2020 Capcom has recently removed the Mega Man Legends 3 Devroom in the western website due to maintenance. But fear not I have good news. Since November of 2013 I managed to collect many pictures and info of the Devroom entries I like. Knowing the day that Capcom will delete the Devroom will come I put my ultimate plan into action. Am now making and working on articles of the Devroom entries on the Megaman Wiki Fandom site.
If your a user of Wiki Fandom specially if you have any devroom entries you want to add to the articles please feel free to contribute to the links here:
