I really can't wait until I get to try out this game next week!

I watched a few let's play episodes of the first world of the Steam version of the game and I have to say the worlds are HUGE! Like even larger than Super Mario Galaxy worlds huge! Despite only having 4 unique worlds, and 6 unique smaller challenge stages this game is definitely impressive in scale considering it was developed by a one-person crew!

You guys might want to download this game to the Wii U's internal memory until some issues are resolved with FreezeMe: https://mobile.twitter.com/df2506/status/695250286714073089?p=v

@AntDickens @ThomasBW84 @Damo Whoever is reviewing the game should have the game stored in the Wii U's internal memory rather than the hard-drive for best results.

Wow, this game seems to be truly terrible!
I was cautiously optimistic, but there seem to be too many things wrong with this game, according to this review.
When I saw the verdict, I thought maybe it was just the reviewer on NE or maybe the flaws were only minor (which I could live with).
So I went ahead and read the whole review and I have to say, the things that are described in there go way beyond that.
I usually don't base such decisions on just one review, but the things descrbed in there just sound too awful. I don't think I will buy FreezeME at all.

My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!

"FreezeME is 3D platformer that fails to come close to the games it so clearly strives to imitate. With clunky controls, a camera that fights your every input, lackluster visuals, an ankle-deep plot, and a severe lack a direction, it fails to bring that lost magic of the 3D platformers of old back to the table."

Pfft, so it is actually nails to be the kinds of games it strived to be.

Too bad if this is the case though, the game looks cool but it seems like now it'll another eShop game enough people aren't going to download anyway. So unless it's truly abysmal then it'll probably get mixed reviews.

WiiWareWave

Yeah, that review is very ludicrous. First of all the camera issues can be resolved by changing the camera settings and the other "problems" are the fact that the game is too much like a 90's era 3D platformer which is what the developer was going for lol! xD

It's a solid 7 / 10, imo. It's not perfect but it's a fun time, and I'm certainly no unconditional 3D collectathon fan as Donkey Kong 64 is one of my least favorite games of all time.

Meh, I'm not fussed by the reviews and will still take a punt on this if/when it comes to the UK.

@Epona14: I'm going to keep an eye on this. I don't care if nobody buys it, but as long as it's still decent I'm interested.

@Dankykong: The game's great, it has a few minor bugs, but nothing gamebreaking. I definitely recommend the game.

Does anyone else get a Rocket: Robot on Wheels vibe from the game? To me, they're both missing a sense of personality that is present in the Nintendo and Rare entries. But I am still having so much fun revisiting the genre which I loved so much in the late 90's!

@Pianist88: Don't. Don't say Rocket Robot on Wheels. THAT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES /rattles the bars on my cage/ Come on Ubisoft, virtual console that thing somewhere!!! I really can't afford more games right now omg. I wish more people would talk about this or post their input, I want to know more about FreezeMe. I'm reading a lot of great comparisons.

Anyone on the game difficultly or length of the game from start to finish? (or from start to your current position)

I´ve collected 11 Golden Cubes now and seems like a solid 8/10 game to me. Controls aren´t as solid as in some other 3D platformers but that´s a minor complain since they work well enough. And this game has SLIDE ATTACK that has been missing in 3D Mario games since SUPER MARIO GALAXY (amazing game, but why replace one of the best moves in Mario history with ability to shoot stars?). Graphics aren't amazing but it looks like a Gamecube title in HD and that's fine for me.

And here's what I don't like... I don't know if it's a clitch only present in Wii U version but in the first level, I can't get a screw from a pig character that is required to complete the mission. I might have obtained it earlier but if so it's not in my inventory anymore. If this is the the case and this game has game breaking clitches that prevent 100% completio, I have to lower the score to 7/10.

EDIT: Is there another screw available in the first level of can I take the screw and use it for a different cannon?

EDIT2: Found it thanks to the internet. If only that stupid pig would have told that there is another screw in the level hidden behind a wall that doesn't even seem to be breakable, because there are TWO catapults you need for competiotion.

It would be great if David Wise made soundtracks to all future Nintendo games.

I have completed this game. Took me around 18 hours to get everything. Was very enjoyable for the most part, but some sections were a bit frustrating. Well, no more frustrating than some of the odd missions you can find in Super Mario 64. It could use a good update to make the experience smoother, then I'd give it a 8/10. For a one-man developer it certainly is a great first game.

I've just completed it and really enjoyed this, it nails 64 era platformers almost perfectly and holds up on it's own merits. It's really shocking this game is made by one person and is not as low rent as I was expecting.

Based on what I've seen, I really want this game. Short on money right now though, but it's going to be my next purchase for sure.
