It's strange that there's been no news of a western release even though it's been out in Japan for over half a year now. :/ Hopefully it's just because there's a lot of content that they're in the process of localising.
@lz Hey that's true actually. It's a hint, but not news. Wikipedia says that name change announcement was back in January 2010, half a year before it came out in Japan. Well at least it's confirmation that the game will be getting a western release eventually.
I would have been amazed if Nintendo didn't release the game in the West, given they bought the developer on the strength of this game. Would have been a pretty big investment for a Japan-only game.
I posted this in a few other threads but I found a Xenoblade and Last Story petition to try and get those games released in other petitions. Yall should stop by and sign it!

However not everything that sees a release in the PAL regions see a release in the NTSC regions. Take Disaster: Day of Crisis for instance. Though I hear the ratings weren't that great, it was shown off at 2 or 3 E3's before it came out then went dark. Both of these games are games RPG fans are looking forward to world wide and we know nothing about. They both missed a really good time for a NTSC announcement to build and stir a buzz, have been announced in PAL but not NTSC, and we can't get a straight answer about them. It's disheartening for RPG fans, Wii owners, and fans of the developers work!

They HAVE to release these games. Aside from Zelda they have literally nothing else until the Wii u is launched.
Either that or they are porting them to the Wii U and starting the system strong with some "core" RPGs, which I honestly doubt because the games are being released in every region on Wii cept NA.
Course then again NoA has been pretty stupid when it comes to porting games over. They honestly don't unless they are forced to by NoJ.
I agree, can't help but to think Nintendo intentionally let the genre go ever since the release of the 64. Glad to see it's shaping up, and about time too but, well crap - release this one in NA too. And bring The last story westwards as well. I'll get that one too. There's profit to be made here. That should get every respected entertainment company's attention

this was because NoA didn't want to showcase games that they aren't planning to sell It came from the French branch of nintendo and the special classic controller sounds cool but things aren't sounding too good for an NA release. Even though it looks pretty unlikely now I hope it does get an NA release so that the Americans don't miss out on such an awesome looking game. @silverskywalker Welcome to nl and nice avatar, Yuzu is my favourite character in devil survivor. I hope the 3DS version gets an eu release.

Now, i don't want to sound annoying but most of who live in America are pretty upset about this turn of events and we're doing something about this. If anyone is interested we have an official page on facebook, twitter feed and an email. Right now NoA's facebook page is being flooded with comments about Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandoras Tower. The rank of Monado in amazon us has been given a boost from #12000 to #4232. We've started to gain notice from other sites but we need more help. At this time and age we can make a difference and I hope you guys can give us hand with this. We would all be benefited from the result.
I'm not going to worry about missing out on this title. As long as Nintendo doesn't find anymore reasons to postpone Skyward Sword. Since both titles would've probably been released around the same general time.
