Anyways I guess my second least favourite download is Ys Book I&II. I played it again today, was once again bored by the combat, and greatly aggravated by the gigantic mazes one has to traverse.
mine would probably be Castlevania II, Simon's quest.
I try to play through it every once in a while, but i just can't get over the gameplay mechanics. One its own it probably wouldn't be so bad, but compared to all the other Castlevania games i've played, modern or older, it just doesn't compare.
3DS FC - 1547-6126-3842 Largate de mi casa!!
Mother 3 fan. It's an amazing game. 糸井さん、こんな素敵なゲームを作ってくれてありがとう!
Ohhh, so many bad, horrible mistake purchases. Let's see: 1: Romance IV 2: TMNT 3: Baseball 4: Metroid 5: Final Fantasy IV; The After Years (I know it's not a VC game, but holy crap that game totally sucks!)
I can never get past Jungle. I always end up having very few lives/continues by the time I get there that I just can't do it.
Anyway, its not a bad game for the Master System. Don't know about the other MS Sonic games.
I always farmed lives in the first zone (get 2+ lives then die for a net gain) or used a level select cheat to practice the levels I sucked at before doing a full play-through. That's the only way I can beat most old platformers. If you liked Sonic 1 on MS, you'll probably like at least Sonic 2. Sonic 2 is very similar in the way it plays, but with longer levels and no rings for boss fights. Sonic Chaos is a lot easier than both of those and there are special stages for the Chaos emeralds.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
I downloaded the Sonic SMS titles and I thought they were all good. I just did not like the final Robotnik boss fights because they were overly frustrating. But overall I enjoyed the games.
Right now my least favorite VC game is Puyo Puyo 2 which has taken over for Moto Roader.
Right now it's a tie between Super Mario Bros 2 (doki doki panic skin change) and Puyo Puyo 2. SMB2 is a great game butfor some reason I have never really been in any mood to play it since getting it and getting lamblasted repeatedly by the first bomber mouse. And PP2 isn't bad, per se, but I bought it during the Sega MD/Genesis sale, only had 500 pts left, and flipped a coin to decide between it and Gunstar Heroes. Honestly, I'd probably have buyers remorse either way in that kind of situation.
So far it's Ecco The Dolphin not because of the design or uneasy atmosphere instead no Music i want my 800 Wii Pionts back SEGA or trade that game back for Ristar or something else.
Well, I know I should just pick one but I'm choosing three as I've made over a few mistakes out of the 100+ VC games I've bought:
My worst game is Ice Climber. It's not because of the graphics or sound, but the control of the character and collision detection. Time and again I jump onto a platform and think I've made it and fall through the side edge. It's just infuriating.
Second worst is Dead Moon - so many frequent power-up capsules that change your weapon. I find them just too easy to shoot and fly into accidently. I spend more time avoiding these than bullets or enemies.
Third worse is the turtles NES game. Although I suppose there's a decent game underneath it's just such a flickery mess that I can't be bothered with it.
That's just off the top of my head, I haven't looked at the SD card menu.
My worst game is Wrecking Crew, but since I like it anyway and will always have a special place in my heart (still remember opening it up Christmas morning in 1985, that along with the Transformer Grapple were the first gifts ever from my little brother who was 4 and 1/2 months old at the time; according to my parents they held out 2 nes games to him and he grabbed this one, same with the Transformer) I don't think I'm doing too bad.
and @everyonewhothinksSMRPGisoverrated, what a lot of people miss is that it's a parody of the series. It was also hyped up because when it was released it was mind blowing. Square and Nintendo making a game together? Not just a game but a Mario game! And it's pretty much like Final Fantasy! Where do we sign up? It was a simpler time, it was a better time.
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
I don't think Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is overrated. Although, I think now that Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is one of the best DS RPGs. :3 In fact, I respect people's opinions.
Wave Race 64. I accidentally purchased it (I was trying to see the block size for someone I think) and I really regret it. Castlevania IV for the SNES was bad in my opinion as well.
If those are the worst games you have then you're pretty lucky.
Final Fight 3. It is definitely not the worst game that I have bought on the Virtual Console but I was still a little disappointed by it. I never played it before and I heard nothing but great things about it so naturally I thought that it would be a really awesome game. It's an okay game but really nothing spectacular. Perhaps I was expecting a little too much from it. I think the first Final Fight is the best game of the series but if you want a superior beat em up on the VC then download Streets of Rage 2 instead.
Soccer. I still don't understand why I bought it. It's awful. I thought I liked it when I was young, but I must be wrong. How could I ever have liked this game?
