Topic: Will Sin and Punishment 2 ever be surpassed?

I just saw the trailer for Whisker Squadron and It got me thinking. Has the on rails shooter already had its concord moment?

It's a genre of game you just don't see that often, and I just don't see a big studio funding a game like Sin and Punishment 2 anymore. Has anyone played anything recently that was on a similar level to Treasure's swansong?

I think if Nintendo let Platinum make a Starfox game with traditional controls and less oversight from Miyamoto, they might surpass Sin and Punishment. Otherwise, no probably not.
