Personally, I think that some, but not all licensing issues will be resolve before the Wii enter it's death throe. Some of these issues that could be fixed includes the TMNT licensing issues, Capcom games with Disney characters on it, issues with releasing Rare games on the Virtual Console to a degree, the Goldeneye 007 issues, which the compromise will be that it will be released both on the Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade.

Do you guys think that any licensing issues will be fixed before the Wii is done for? Personally, yes, although not all licensing issues.

How many topics have you started today!? As for Goldeneye 007,I think you should give up that hope.

It's more about negotiating than "fixing". These companies are more focused on releasing products for the current generation than focusing on the past.

That being said, Mirage Studios better give us TMNT IV for the SNES, or I may just get really upset and write a nasty letter to them. They already have me mad over who's voicing Michelangelo in Smash Up.

I think they could happen, it just needs the right person in the right company to want to do it; if they work on an updated version of a property there's a much better chance they'll negotiate a renewal of past rights as well.

I also find it interesting how people are looking forward to the end of the Wii's lifespan (not a comment actually directed at the OP). Indications are that all current platforms will outlive their predecessors across the board due to a perception of market saturation and the current economy. Even if we had a normal lifecycle for the Wii you're talking two more years, but people seem to think some new machine will come out next year already just because they feel it should. So we could be looking at several years of VC releases; I wouldn't dream of making predictions on what will happen in that timeframe.
