...except they do. There's like 2 new 8-bit looking indy games made every week. If anything, it's painfully overdone.
Yeah, but are they good and are they on WiiWare are the key questions. I might not have been paying attention for awhile, but other than escapeVektor, the Bit.Trip games and Art Style, I can't really think of any.
There's Mega man 9 and 10 and Konami's rebirth series.
That's hardly "two every week" though, is it?
I think KKslider was referring to indy/download games in general, not just on Wiiware.
As noted on the front page, the WiiWare version of La-Mulana has been cancelled.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
Still no update for Retro City Rampage? I guess that release date slated for May was just more bullsμ*t. Just wait a couple weeks, and I bet they'll pull a NIGORO on our as*es. lol

As seen on the main page, Protocol will no longer be coming to WiiWare but a different as of yet unspecified platform. The smart money is on the Wii U Shop. At least it hasn't been cancelled completely.

XGen has launched a kickstarter campaign in order to continue development of Super Motherlode. They still need about $42,000 more by August 12. Go here to contribute.
EDIT: So much for the WiiWare version. Only for PC and Mac even if they get the required funds.

Give me SSF4+5 capcom or else you WILL be sorry because SSFIV:3D sucked!
Not changing my statements until mario party 1 gets on the virtual console.
I have a feeling Retro City Rampage will be moved to the Wii U eShop.
Well, i played it in July in a fully functional Wii... Doesnt seem like this is going to change.
I just mean that with the Wii U on the horizon, the interest in WiiWare has definately declined. It would probably be smarter for the developers just to release it on the Wii U at this point, where the excitement over the new console could really boost sales.

It would be smarter for the developer and Nintendo to release it for the Wii and WiiU alike. And is this so unlikely? Who says that WiiWare games are not running on the WiiU?
I didn't mean it would only be downloadable on the Wii U, I should have explained that better. The game was designed for WiiWare and I'm sure you can still get it on the Wii as well. I just have a feeling they will release the game after the Wii U launches to capitalize on the excitement of the new system. But, considering there has been no news about this game lately, we will just have to wait and see.
I've provided a long overdue update to the first post. All that's left is a possible North American release of "Rush Rush Rally Racing" and for Interplay to provide any kind of update on "Descent," a European release of Stonekeep, or anything at all about any of their current projects.
