I have an SD card back from my Wii that has Wii virtual console games. I put it in my Wii U and went into wii mode and opened up the sd card menu. All of the game show up there but when I try to play them it says "This channel can not be launched on this Wii console". I don't know why this is, anyone know?
The downloads on a Wii SD card can only played on the Wii they're originally downloaded on. You can backup the downloads to an SD card (so you don't need to redownload them from the now shut down Shop Channel), but they can only work on the Wii system they were originally downloaded to. Anti-piracy measure IIRC.
