My Wii remote lags my HD TV and not on my standard old TV. Someone please help me i cant figure it out! and before anyone says "make sure you have component cables, 480p resolution, sensor bar sensitivity, 16.9 widescreen, game mode on TV", i did all this! and i CAN NOT go back to my old TV. experts, anyone, please?? ):
I have a Samsung 46" LED HD Smart TV 7050 7 series. It has nothing to do with the sensor bar i know that, cuz it plays fine on my old TV. I cant return the TV because my family will not return it just because my Wii wont function properly on it. Thanks waveboy but ughh i need a solution because i have to play on this TV.
HDTV's and 3DTV's are pretty cheap now so I thought to pick one up for the better resolution which makes the games look much nicer. But are there no HDTV's out that can display Wii games 1:1 without lag? Because I wouldn't trade in my 1:1 controls for a higher resolution! Controls before graphics any day!
It's nice to know there's another advantage besides price for my family still using nothing but good ol' CRT TVs.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
basically im screwed.........ugh. i cant return my TV, its what family bought for the living room, and they dnt care if the Wii works properly on it or not. AHH. im so bummed out right now but thanks anyway..

Try saving up for a small, cheap CRT set for your room, that is if your parents will let you have a TV in your room.

@BJQ1972 Let me guess a Panasonic? I bet you i could detect that amount of MS(as low as it is) Anybody who's gamed on a CRT as long as I have can probably notice the slightest. It seems like Pointer controlled wii titles are easier to tell when doing lag comparisons like Metroid Prime 3 for example.
And agreed over getting a CRT for your room, a 32" Full screen CRT that's compatible with Component cables would be perfect, i wouldn't go below 27" though. You can find SDTV CRT's for super cheap in this day and age. Hell, look at it this way. The Wii doesn't exactly get that many advantages when played on an HDTV.....Sure you get progressive scan(and if you're going LED or LCD that beautiful bright picture, plus a crisper/cleaner image in general), but that's it....StretchoVision widescreen looks crappier for the Wii so i wouldn't even count that as an advantage at all. The Wii isn't HD, it doesn't support true widescreen because Wii games are native full screen(Soft looking anamorphic sucks) and it doesn't have an HDMI connection.
I'm still cycling through weather i should play it on my CRT, Plasma(worst of the bunch for gaming because there's no advantage when gaming on a plasma for the wii over a CRT. The progressivescan is harder to even notice on a Plasma when compared to an LCD at least for me) and LCD....This dudester still can't make up it's mind. When the Wii U hits there will actually be many advantages obviously when playing it on an HDTV so that's obviously a must.
For now, i'm going Bonkers on deciding.
Samsung actually. I wouldn't buy a Panasonic TV in the UK until they have sorted their problems with displaying 50Hz sources.
Plasma has many advantages over CRT, most obviously size, but also colour accuracy and geometry. An insignificant amount of input lag, and more visible frame doubling with 30fps, is a small price to pay.
