If I found that stick in the UK I'd buy it. I've been wanting one for arcade ports too but all of the "good" ones are too expensive. A lot of people have told me that a cheap stick ends up being worse than a pad, but those two customer reviews don't seem to agree
I have the Hori stick and its great for Fighters and VC arcade games like Golden Axe and Shinobi, dunno about this one but I do like a good joystick - Hmm, I just read some really daft reviews of the Hori Stick on Amazon '...it doesnt work with Mario Kart...' (!?).
I use the Mayflash USB PS3 stick with an adapter (sold seperately) for the Wii. It's a no frills 8 button stick ( so no macro programing in combos except for the PC), works on PS3 and PC with no adapter, and Wii and XBox with an adapter. It's like $50 with shipping and a Wii adapter. It plugs in so there is no latency or battery issues, buttons are standard 3mm. I notice no difference than the high end stick my dork of a friend bought for $150. Great 1st time stick, to see if you even like the sticks (all you shoryuken spammers out there I'm looking at you). Oh, and I also suggest cutting a soft cushy pad of some kind and putting it on the ledges where your wrists will like bump often. I used a keyboard wrist pad!
FYI, any games that don't use 8-directional input (allow use of the D-pad for movement) will similarly not allow movement control with one of these sticks. Arcade sticks have and always will be 8-directional movement-restricted and are not the same thing as an analog stick. Granted, some arcade sticks have switches that allow them to digitally reproduce analog control--The X-Arcade can simulate the stick being pushed fully or slightly (about a third of the way out, or so it seems) with different function buttons, but as far as I know the stick linked, and other Wii arcade sticks, will only play d-pad games.
Forget about Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Castlevania Judgment if you're into that sort of thing, etc. Analog stick-requisite = no dice w/ an arcade stick.

I'm a fan of Joysticks, but then I'm a fan of retro fighters and shooters - Hori stick is great for stuff like Shinobi and Golden Axe, has the proper retro arcade feel. I cant understand how anyone would expect a joystick to work with analogue racers like Mario Kart Wii - it would be horrible to play!
