The guy that runs Activision does believe games should go up in price. He could of thought now was as good of a time as any to set the price point higher than past releases. I hope this helps as I like to help people as well as myself save some cash. PS2 is 36.99 on Amazon, Wii version is 56.99 and with them being over 25 bucks you can get free shipping and in some states escape the sales tax which can save some more money. I am expecting by the next console generation prices on games will increase.

I got it for 30 quid over here in the UK where the PS3 and the 360 version were selling for 50 quid? You really think they would kind of regulate the prices a bit better. Saying that though the wii version has the most features having the same features as the other systems and then supporting extra modes using Nintendo DS connection so you can play as Roadies or Stage Manager so mabey that is where the price hike comes from.

Nebraska Furniture Mart had the game for 49.99 the week it came out. I, too, was wondering why it cost 60 bucks, maybe because of the Van Halen giveaway?

Van Halen giveaway is the icing on the cake. The Wii version actually appears to have MORE features than the 360/PS3 version. It has this thing called "Roadie Battle" where you have two teams, and two additional players connect with their DS systems. The people with the DS try to sabotage the other team.

Even with regular songs you can still add DS Connectivity because you can have an additional player as the stage manager using his DS to controll lights and effects etc. It seems that Guitar Hero 5 on wii is the definitive version. I would imagine them to do something similar with the PS3 version next time using the PSPGo! ... oops I forgot about the argument that Activision and Sony have had when Activision said they will stop supporting the PS3 after this year.
