No love for TMNT2 The Arcade Game? I guess they would have to edit out all those Pizza Hut adverts that were in the game.
Side Note: Nickelodeon just acquired the rights to the TMNT franchise; does anyone think this could hurt our chances for more TMNT games being released?

TMNT III for NES since it's the only one I don't own.

@Nickelodeon: Yes, I think it does hurt our chances. Does that include video games though? Cause UBI Soft did have the rights for video games before and they did not use it very good.

I guess I was to hasty in saying that Nickelodeon's acquisition of the TMNT franchise would hurt our chances of seeing more games released for the VC. Nickelodeon only bought the film and TV rights. As to who owns the rights to the old NES & SNES games is a good question. Konami, perhaps?

As far as I know it's still Ubisoft.

Why is there hardly any love for TMNT III for NES? That game is amazing!

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Oh it's horrible. Well not bad for a NES game but compared to the original arcade? Light years off. I mean it's not just the graphics and the sound, you're also missing awesome things like the dual Bebop and Rocksteady fight, the Baxter boss in the sewer level and two new (but awful) stages that take away from the fun of the game rather than add to it.

Also the stages are so long and repetitive. You're just seeing the same background over and over as you walk through the stage, which seems to go on for ever. The arcade is just the right length for those types of stages, you can perform more attacks and so do the enemies.

Also - 4 player!

TMNT III never had an arcade version. It was an NES exclusive. You're thinking of TMNT II.

Eh TMNT III was okay, but I haven't played it nearly as much as the first two.
It just kinda felt like a rehash of TMNT II.

In III the turtles each has a special move, costing a bit of health per use.

ah yeah - what threw me off there was "for the NES", so didn't count the the numerals properly assuming it was the second game. Well the third game is an improvement but still nothing compared to the arcade game and Turtles in Time.
