DOS

So ends a saga older than time itself.
The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation
is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the
field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot

Sega Saturn. I always wanted to play Nights.

I know that this most likely won't happen, but it would be cool to see the Sega Saturn on VC.

I couldn't stand gb games on a big screen. They seem fit on a smaller screen. They could go on a DSi VC if they ever develop one.

NeoShinobi

The Sega CD and the Amiga 500 are the only two systems I can think of that actually have a reasonable chance of making it to the VC.

.... or something like that.

HolyMackerel

Much as it would be awesome, Sega Saturn and other CD-based systems won't appear on VC. The file sizes are just too big for the VC restrictions. Even without them, the download would take ages - 700MB+ downloads with Mario running and collecting coins in the Wii Shop Channel, locking my console for hours? No thanks.

Turbo CD and Neo Geo CD games are already available on the VC and most Sega CD games were no bigger than them, so I don't think file size would be too much of an issue.

We'll still never see Saturn games on the VC though.

.... or something like that.

I think Sega CD games have much more FMV than games on the Turbo CD and Neo Geo CD has. That would be a problem.

IMO, they should just release appropriately sized Sega CD and 32X games under the Genesis/MegaDrive label so it doesn't matter if there's very few from the Sega CD and 32X.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

True. Unlike Sega, NEC used the extra space for high quality audio which is more easily compressed rather than crappy FMV - it's a good thing too because (especially on the Japanese VC) there's a ton of awesome PC Engine games, a lot of them on CD. Gradius II is a revelation and I'd choose that over the slowdown-plagued Gradius III on the SNES any day of the week.

I would LOVE to see the Virtual boy on VC.
It could even just be added as a joke, and all the games could be 100 wii points.

A few folk have said it but the Amiga on the Virtual Console would be pretty sweet. I'd love to see all the old Lucasarts graphic adventures, Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder etc.

On a personal note I'd also like to see the Amstrad 6128, as it was my first computer. However seeing the lack of effort that has been put into the C64 maybe not.

Yes the Amiga would be great on the VC. I would like to have and play some of those old Cinemaware games again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defender_of_the_Crown http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Came_From_the_Desert http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket_Ranger

the Gameboy Advance! or at least the Original Gameboy. think about it: 1 and 2 could be used as A and B, and A and B on the Wiimote could be used as L and R
