Awesome to the posts above. But it's sad that the USBs don't put out as much power as sometimes needed. I have a USB cable to charge my DS Lite and it takes like 4 times as long compared to a computer USB, and my friend's phone even stated that their was an insufficient amount of energy from the source so his phone couldn't charge.
I've only used it for my keyboard. Make sure you get one that's either wireless or has a long cord. I hate having to sit on the floor right in front of my tv just to use the keyboard. It's still better that using the Wiimote alone though.
USB Keyboard mainly. Very useful for the Internet Channel and Animal Crossing. Anything heavy on text-input, really. USB-to-Ethernet cables are also supported too (apparently, I don't know for sure since my Wii is right next to the home hub anyway, so I've never needed to use one), so if you're finding the Wi-Fi a bit weak, hook it up through a wire.
If you have a hacked Wii, you can use media players to play music and video from a iPod or other media device. You can also use them to load full Wii games off of a USB HDD (or a big enough flash drive).

My Wii stand disappeared sometime back in 2007, so my dad bought this stand with a cooler built in. It glows in Wii blue when it's on and it works great when using the standby for WiiConnect24.
I have an idea, but it's probably not appropriate for the site, so I'll keep it to myself.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
