Well, as long as you enjoyed it. I rented it on NES, got it for Gameboy as a gift that I still own for some reason, and even played it on SNES. I've played more than enough to know it's got about as much depth as tic-tac-toe, it bores me. :/
You ought to try Flipull/Plotting. If you like Mario & Yoshi, you'll love that "addictive" puzzler. >; )
Too late downloaded Mario & Yoshi already, and yeah it is worse, I have to say though I'm genuinely surprised so many like Warios Woods, think I'll have to give it another go just to see if I'm missing something, liked Yoshis Cookie though not sure if that's on VC yet.
The NES version is. Howvwer, people were asking for the SNES version. Signifcant additions include a CPU vs. mode (NES only offers human vs. human, yet I think even the GB version offered a CPU vs. human mode, in addition to 4-human mode) and a 100-level "puzzle" mode (where you have to clear each stack with only a few moves). Though, again, it also has legal issues.

What legal issues?
Bullet-Proof (or whoever owns their IP) owns the SNES version's programming (YC started as a different game by BPS for NES and SNES. Nintendo bought full copyright ownership to the NES version only.) (they might be part of The Tetris Company now, as the only website for them I found (last known as Blue Planet) just linked to the official Tetris site)
I think they should focus on an all new wario's woods with an adventure mode, a 3D world with puzzles to solve in order to advance and a classic mode obviously.
