This is just a thread asking people what version of Street Fighter II you own on the VC. I own the Turbo version for the SNES as well as the SCE for the Genesis.
I own the original SNES World Warrior. Turbo was out when I bought it but I just got this one for nostalgia reasons - there's just something I love about the original SNES version. I'm tempted to buy Special Champion Edition as this is the first Street Fighter game I owned myself but I'm not sure if I will yet.
I'm kind of hoping for arcade Super Turbo - if that is released then it's a definate download.
Kim Jong II, Paper Mario is not an Street Fighter game.
Anyway, to the point, the only version of Street Fighter II I have is Super Street Fighter II: The New Challenger, if that even counts. I have to say, it's a very good game.
Street Fighter II Turbo Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition got SCE basically for nostalgia, it was the one I played during the 16-bit era. I also own the cart Super Street Fighter II for the Genesis.
I cannot stand the voices in the SCE. For a Genesis game, the voices are horrible. Usually voice samples are pretty decent on Genesis games. But this is just pathetic.
@Corbie I have one of those adapters to use the Genesis pad on wii through the gamecube port. Kind of pricey but I think it was worth it. Some of the Genesis games just don't feel right with the classic controller or wiiimote.
I think Super on the SNES is terrible. The sound effects are weak and the music is poor, it has voice samples missing (and big ones too such as "round # fight" and Dee Jay's "max out"), the awesome intro isn't even animated properly - oh and the music doesn't carry on past the first round into the second.
Even though Megadrive Super has poorer sound samples, it does have all the speech and none of the problems listed above - but then it was a 40mb cart compared to the SNES 32mb cart. They even manage to replicate the arcade's sound effects - too bad this version isn't on the Virtual Console yet. However, I'd rather have the arcade version over both of those anyway - I'm going to hold out and hope for that.
I've already got two versions of Street Fighter II on my Xbox 360, So I don't really need to get any one my Wii. But I suppose the controllers would be more comftable to use for that kind of fighting game.

Personally, I think the Genesis version is the inferior version. The music is so much better in the SNES version, and I believe that for once, we got an superior version on the Virtual Console.

Really? I honestly think the Megadrive's music is vastly superior in Super - guess my oppinion either just differs or I have too much fondness for the Megadrive sound chip.

I agree I thought the Genesis music in Street Fighter 2 was better as well.

Both. Do I need to do comparison videos of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challenger of the Genesis and SNES version to prove that the SNES version musics are better then the Genesis musics?
