I want to know your opinions on one of the most hated publishers to Nintendo fans, Ubisoft. I read the gonintendo comments and apparently ppl are still hating. I was a little upset with Ubi too. Then I played Shaun White and heard about games like Shaun White 2, Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, and TMNT Smash-up. They're supposedly publishing No More Heroes 2 and I'm giving soccer game Academy of Champions the benefit of the doubt. Sure I'd love a new ground up Wii version of Prince of Persia, but as any gamer should know, you can't have everything. What do you guys think of Ubi's upcoming line-up. Still disappointing or steps in the right direction?
On another note, don't you find the premise of Rabbids go home, where the rabbids are trying to make a huge pile of junk, just a little ironic?

I have no bad feelings about them. Red Steel 2 sounds promising and they've apparently done a great job of localising Tenchu 4 (hopefully I'll be finding out first hand next month).
New Splinter Cell looks intriguing. I quite like the storytelling via the environment thing, though it seems better suited to an artsy game than... well, a Tom Clancy game.
I'm looking forward to games like TMNT Brawl and Rabbids Go Home. The soccer game looked nice, but I don't care for soccer. Red Steel was lame and Red Steel 2 doesn't look much better.
I just finished watching Ubi's conference. Wii game of show for me was Rabbids go Home. I haven't liked Rabbids, the characters or the series since the original, but I loved what I saw of RGH. I guess I'm just a sucker for that style of game (huge de Blob fan btw). Looks like it will focus a bit too much on collecting for my taste but overall, excellent! As for Red Steel 2, the big one, I was a little disappointed in what I saw personally. I await more hands-on information. The proof would be playing it myself of course due to WM+. It doesn't strike me as particularly deep, though. All talk of control and no talk of content. What do you guys think?
Never heard about any widespread UbiSoft hatred before. I've never had any problems with them atleast. I mean, it's not my favorite studio but they're pretty good overall. I might not appreciate their Imagine or Petz crap the least, but they do make up for it with quite a few really good titles.
Although I wouldn't really call myself a "Nintendo fan" really... So maybe that's why I don't have a problem with them...
I doubt it is as advanced as NATAL, but then again I think most of the actual advances in NATAL is in the software. Voice recognition has been around for a while, and the required sensor (a mic) has been around for over 100 years. The major problem with voice recognition has always been software. As far as the motion capture, that too has been around, though not in such a small scale. I think the greatest challenges for the device still lie on the software side of it.
Only reason people, and I mean Nintendo fanatics, hate Ubisoft is their constant splurge with their casual/kiddie line up of games, but I don't mind their lineup. I happened to like Red Steel, and I adore those stupid Rabbids ( ) so 2009 is coming out nice.
I think Red Steel 2 looks AMAZING. The graphics in the "gameplay" (quotes because though it was ingame, there wasn't any actual gamplay) trailer look really great. I have high hopes. TMNT Smash Up sounds really great too, my only problem would be if it was too much like brawl.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

It will be much like Brawl, but a whole different cast of characters.
It's not. It's more focused on weapons and seems to be less over the top from IGN impressions and videos. It does not seem to be as Brawl-esque as it's made out to be.
Well... Ubisoft has always gone up and down for me.... I liked the games they showed, but cant believe how crappy they where on E3. How can they get a guy talking about a freaking movie background for half an hour?

Guess I missed that part cause otherwise I was really enjoying their Rabbids Go Home presentation, especially the bunny in the Wiimote. XD
