I bought it... My Opinion, although biased because I have that whole "kids wanted it" excuse, is that this game is going to prove to be for someone with A. an interest in archery, pistols and rifles... B. Someone who likes a game geared on skill and patients as opposed to action and interaction... I only played one round of each and it was challenging enough that I have to play it again to "prove" myself. So, take what you may from my first impressions... It's only 500 points! Big factor: I would NOT have bought it if it were more.
@Gamerdad, I'm down to review and I've experienced some real problems with the aiming in archery (the wind strength/direction seems to have little to do with where the arrows end up) and some serious pointer calibration issues in the 2nd round of the rifle event across all difficulties where it seems to randomly zoom out (and to a lesser degree in the pistol event where the pointer moves and is unresponsive in the latter four rounds on Normal difficulty). Can you confirm any of this? I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the remote and switching to a different one without effect and the pointer movement in the menus of the game is just fine so it seems like some seriously buggy code to me.
